since I wanted to tidy up my PC externally and internally, I bought a more spacious but smaller case. sadly I accidentally broke my SSD while trying to plug it in after mounting it. (the data pins were already a bit bent, but this is when shit hit the fan […] [Original post on wetdry.world]

what should I do with this... what should I do?

the specs sheet of a Packard Bell EasyNote TE, i'll simplify it in alt text though:
Intel Celeron B830
Intel HD Graphics
4 gigabytes DDR3 Memory
500 gigabytes hard drive (5400RPM)
DVD burner

hours in Figma (blueprint and line art) and Photoshop (making it look real with the shading and materials, lighting) led to this.

Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2021, but with the looks of older versions of the system - think like 2015-2016 era.

SEMI-URGENT: my PC REALLY needs a better power supply, I already picked out a good unit, but I need the money. donations are much appreciated. one of the pics attached shows one of the issues with the unit. ko-fi.com/nermnelly

50 dollar goal on Ko-Fi.

So as it stands, my crappy power supply I had for 5 years now REALLY NEEDS a replacement. It's in a bad shape, and it was always a bottom tier unit (F-tier according to both SPL and the Cultists PSU tier lists). Since I wanna feel a bit of safety with my computer, and make sure it runs for a long time, I need to buy a cheap but good quality power supply. I already found a good unit, but I need the money to actually be able to buy it.

a power supply SATA connector, with the +3.3V wire somehow completely separated from the connector. the wires are exposed. why not just insulate it/solder it back? because it's NOT a good quality unit (CM Masterwatt Lite 600W), and I'd rather make sure my PC runs for a long time, instead of having to deal with a possible ticking time bomb.

IPTV screencap of Hungarian jewelry teleshopping program "Szépségakció" (translates to Beauty Sale). The presenter Ákos is showing off a piece of dubious jewelry that looks like an eye. On the bottom, in a green-to-yellow Impact font is "Exceptional jewels with a giant sale - only today!"

reminder of this ancient post I made... well, two of these came true, I had the almighty founder's edition 980 from june 2024 to a month ago, and now I have a Palit 1080. I'd say i'd swap the R9 380 out with the 390 on this list, it's a way more interesting card.

GPUs I kinda wanna hunt down:
R9 380
R7 260X
GTX 970/980 (probably as a main GPU)
GTX 1060 6GB (definitely as a main GPU)
GTX 1070/1070Ti
GTX 1080
GTX Titan X Pascal
RX 580 Red Devil
all | have rn is an R7 240 (I hate this thing), an HD3650 (I don't like it
either), and a GTX 660 (crazily enough, in-use in my main PC)

with some modifications (hex editing and resource hacking), 7 Build 6608's Paint is probably the most advanced version of XP's Paint!

Windows 7 Build 6608 (early beta) Paint, which is near identical to Vista's Paint, but with the ruler feature, the new brushes and shapes from 7's final Paint. However, the icons are changed to look like the ones from Windows XP's Paint, with new icons created from scratch for the new tools. The color palette is also on the bottom, with the old XP Paint colors.

today, me and my mom took off an unused, cheap but modern PC case from the top of the closet. the thing is - the top panel cover (a big piece of plastic) is broken. I wonder how I'll fix it.

the case, but the top plastic cover lifted off a bit as its loose. a 120mm case fan is faintly visible.

what's underneath the panel - a 120mm case fan with room for another one. a Gigabyte GTX 660 is visible through the hole.

I rarely do draw, but I attempted a crappy and tbh a bit cringy thing with alternate universe versions of two characters I like.

A grey-haired, green eyed cat boy resembling Nermal from Garfield, and a white-haired, blue-eyed shark girl resembling recently graduated VTuber Gawr Gura, sitting at a table in a McDonald's. The table has a 20 piece box of McNuggets, two fries, a Double Quarter Pounder, an empty bag, and a soda on it. The cat boy is holding a Big Mac, while the shark girl is holding a soda. They look at the viewer (or possibly camera?) with a confused expression.

What are they confused at: Someone has took a photo of them, for seemingly no reason.
