Dinner had been eventful, to say the least. “I would never have guessed.” Eleanor teased as she eyed her fiancé over dinner. They had already polished off a very nice starter, eagerly awaiting mains while enjoying some red wine that went down entirely too well.
“Your letters were so chaste after all.”
Gale chuckled, bringing his goblet to his lips and taking a sip.
“Oh well, you know me. Ever the perfect gentleman. Though I must confess, I have felt the distance between Baldur’s Gate and Waterdeep recently. Too far away for my liking, it leaves a man wanting.”
