For my 25th anniversary, I wrote thank you notes to the three congregations I previously served (I left out RIT as those students are long gone 😂). Without the congregations I served, I would never be the pastor I am.

Quick thoughts on the ELCA PB first ballot. 1. At least there are two POC in the Top 5. 2. All Top 5 are Synod staff. 3. If one calls the same people who are currently in charge and expect different results, that is on us.

I finished this one tonight. SA Crosby has hit with every book. This one is twisty, turning, and pretty violent. This was great with a few unneeded story branches. Doesn’t make it bad and it is good. Great summer read too, but again it is violent.

I have a funeral, a wedding, and Sunday service this weekend and (for fun) volunteered to make the communion bread for all three services. This is 15000 grams of flour and 1100 g of water divided 3 ways. What other pastor do you know who would be crazy enough to volunteer to do this?

Could you imagine any other politician saying we shouldn’t have due process for anyone? This is completely unconstitutional and unhinged. Judicial rights are for everyone whether you agree with them or not. It is one of the things that makes the country what it is. This is scary stuff.
