The team behind the decision had actively told me not to go for an emergency blood transfusion until yesterday as it had continued to drop, and because it got so low the surgery had to be canceled. Needless to say I am furious, I followed their advice and this is the result I ended up with.

Welp, after a terrible night in the ER I've lost complete faith in the hospital that's supposed to be doing my kidney transplant. My levels were so critically low they had to push back my surgery, and they have been critically low for months.

Finally got out of the house to do something today, and ended up going to see a movie. I ended up watching Buddy, it was pretty good. I watched a lot of Barney as a kid and the whole movie felt kind of nostalgic because of that.b Also got peanut butter M&Ms and popcorn and it was so gooood.

Ugh, one of the worst parts of having a chronic illness is it makes it so hard to have ANYTHING going on in your life. it's difficult to keep up with friends or talk to anyone new, any important outing leaves you drained afterwards, and it's impossible to schedule anything between doctor visits.

I have officially been approved for my next kidney transplant. There's a couple nights in the hospital guaranteed, but after that I'll be able to come home before having to be driven to the hospital like twice a week for 6 months. Just one last round of waiting for surgery.

It wasn't until I started falling down the LGBTQ+ community, and later the furry fandom rabbit holes, that I felt like I began to find people who could understand parts of me. I still stayed guarded and tried to avoid opening up about my past, but I could share a few threads of myself.

I think as a result of going through all of that pretty much alone, I ended up deciding it was easier to go through it all alone. Basically, I rejected everyone else before they could reject me, and withdrew from the people I did have (like my family, I didn't feel understood by them either)

My first transplant was back in elementary school, and at the time I don't think I really understood the whole thing. I just remember going into the operating room for surgery and feeling alone. During recovery my class made me get well cards, but it's not like I knew any of them personally.

I have really grown to hate eating food lately. It never tastes good no matter how it's seasoned or made. The best way I can think of to describe how it feels to eat is like cleaning. It's good for you, but it's boring and annoying. The only things I actually like eating are spicy and salty foods.
