Blows my mind the type of silly compassionless things people find to complain about on the internet these days 🙄

Plant Diversity in Japan is pretty dang incredible! But how did it come to be? A mix of glaciation, geothermal activity, and lots of time! #science #edu #evolution #nature

Funny to see the BC forestry industry so terrified of the US tariffs hurting business, when they could’ve just embraced the Paradigm Shift introduced by the NDP 4+ years ago and actually been more insulated and resilient to these global shifts…but instead chose to chase short term profits. Classic 😂

Endless growth on a finite planet is probably the stupidest idea anyone has ever had 🙄 Why can’t people / companies just stay in their lane, stay small, and give back when they are successful instead of trying ti take over the whole dang world?! Support local, wherever you are🤙

Drove by a McDonalds earlier and got a craving for a McFlurry and fries…but then remembered that the closest the US has ever come to a class consciousness uprising was spoiled by a McDonalds employee who ratted on Luigi, ironically, for the reward money that they weren’t even paid. I kept driving.

Can we please stop getting hung up on everyone’s shortcomings and just start doing better already…?

This follows up my last post nicely - renewables may be the future of energy, but O&G is just going to pivot and find a way to take advantage of our plastics addiction. Is it too bad of a pun to say that they’ve got plastics on their mind…? Cuz it’s literally in all of our brains 😳

Despite the oil-loving rhetoric from trump and the conservatives, the future is renewable. It’s already here in many ways!

Habitat formation for megafauna in the Coast Redwoods is pretty wild, and theres so much of it! Unfortunately, there's not much demand...because we've killed most of the megafauna 🫤 #forest #ecology #howstuffworks #bears #redwoods #america

From this point forward I will only ever refer to ‘Teslas’ as Naziwagons or Nazitrucks. We need to boycott billionaires, especially the racist ones.

The urge to jump on and respond with 'hot takes' to the past 4 days of enviro and social regulation loss has been overwhelming...instead, I've been trying to take time to stay grounded, think through the visceral emotional reactions to the madness, and move forward constructively. Stay focused🙌

If the world was in flames, and there was a group of hundreds of people scrambling to grab buckets of water to try and put out the fire, but there was one person standing by, kicking cigarette butts and gasoline into the fire, would you grab a can of gas or bucket of water? #climate #usa #unfollow

Keep in mind that while Whitebark Pine are currently endangered, this doesn’t mean that warming temps will suddenly open up a whole new host of habitat for them, as it still takes them thousands of years to migrate and this #anthropogenic change is happening on decades long timescales
