10 years later, I'm only a few months away from celebrating my 10 year anniversary with my amazing partner who still takes Pokémon Go walks with me, and I got into shiny hunting & VGC & got my family into Pokémon & made so many friends along the way 🥹

10 years ago, I jerry rigged a really weird 2-phone/3 SIM setup so that I could play Pokémon Go while living in Russia and was so into it I accidentally got caught in a thunderstorm... It was the best decision I ever made. #PokemonGo10

I've never given much thought to Beedrill before, but this is the most loved (and only) rescue Pokémon I've ever had 🥹

but by the time I caught up myself and the beedrill were soaked and they didn't want it (or to do anything but get out of the rain) and ran off. So I took him back to the hotel! We blow dried him, and my other plushies kept him company...

At NAIC, I was standing under this awning near the convention center on Saturday during a downpour waiting for it to pass with some other folks from the event, and as the rain calmed down a few people made a run for it. One dropped their beedrill plush! I ran after them, but (1/3)

I've never done a shiny bingo board before, but I thought this year I'd commit to a few hunts that have been in the backlog for a long time ✨

Katherine's 2026 shiny bingo board. Top left, across: Tepig in gen 5, "the anxious" marked Pokémon, briefcase simulator in BDSP, Kyurem in BW or B2W2. Middle row: Safari ball shroomish, Pokémon day shiny, curry shiny #2 (to follow up on last year's curry month success), Celebi from Pokémon Crystal. Bottom left: Ribbon master mega Emboar, "The Chosen One" or a destiny-marked birthday Pokémon, Alpha Annihilape, Black Tower gift Gible.

Do you ever shiny hunt so long you accidentally make up insane lore for a Pokémon that's definitely not your target but you've seen it a lot? Anyways, welcome to my newest and weirdly most anticipated team member, Fran 💚, and wish me luck on phrase 38 of my fennekin hunt lol
