I can't imagine living anywhere that's more than a few minutes walk from a large body of water under a big open sky.

I don't like to delete posts where I've been a fool as I think it's important to have a public record of one's mistakes. But that BMI shit I spewed was so incorrect and started to be shared without reference to the corrections in the replies, so I'll leave it here like this instead.

Nerdmo quote-posting a bsky post. The original post reads:

Some priceless Batfaces. Very fun that he rocks up like a badass with a sick one-liner and immediately gets his shit rocked. A lot of this episode is just Batman being utterly bewildered and getting the shit kicked out of him and being generally outmatched at every turn, and it gives me life.

As a professional Whopinionator and certified Doctor Who hater, it was my very great pleasure to visit this specific patch of damp concrete.

A wide shot of Roald Dahl Plass in Cardiff, famously used as a filming location for Doctor Who and Torchwood. It is a large concrete oval with several concrete posts with lamps around the edge. At the far end is the tall silver waterfall monument, and to the right of that is the Millennium Centre. It is a bright but cloudy day, and ground is freshly rained upon.
