🛬 Pro tip for those arriving to #Awoostria by airplane: Don't take the CAT (City Airport Train), to Vienna, its a tourist trap. Use RJ-train the locals use, leaves from next track. It's like half the price for the same service. Red ÖBB ticket kiosks are next to the platform. Repost if helpful.

Heres how the new #projector looks in #3D mode at 1000 fps. Looks like red and blue lasers are solid state controlled and the green has a swiping effect from the shutter wheel as the light is generated from the blue light by the phosphors.

Self-observation: in 4-dimensional hyperspace I am a worm, extended along the time axis. The 3D body I present at each instant is a cross-section of a tapering 4D worldtube. I do not like how I look along the time axis. Multidimensional dysphoria, I argue, is valid.

Spent the evening manually punching EQ settings into my home cinema. 11 channels × 7 bands each, Q and gain per band, plus the subwoofer: ~240 values entered one arrow key at a time with an IR remote 😭 Also discovered I'd been running the house curve on the right channel only this whole time.

Repurposed an old digital signage touchscreen into a custom #HomeAssistant dashboard for my #HomeCinema. Pulls live data from #Plex: media info, poster, the works. Also spent way too long making a logo for it. #Nerdaplex is now a real place.

Got a response from Finanzamt, looks like they accepted my BS. Next I gotta fill up the form Festsetzung und Einhebung der Abgabe Einkommensteuer (E) and hope for the best. So far so good. Atleast I won't be double-taxed in 2 countries because of this beautiful law, that just spills off the tongue.

Bought VIDJA light from #IKEA and slapped 6 KAJPLATS E14 RGBW bulbs in it. Linked all to #HomeAssistant and asked Claude to write a sunrise animation yaml for it. HA app on my phone checks the next wakeup time and a template sensor triggers the automation to fade up the lights at the right time.

My glasses now render, apparently I had to bake the mesh in game. After few complex OSC setups failed, I noticed a mod to enable Varjo's eye tracking in #Resonite. That works now. Mouth tracking works too on default avatar, little bit on tinkering still needed to make it work on mine I guess.

I don't know the point of putting an AirTag in your bike, it makes a noise when moved, anybody stealing it will just remove the tracker. Lucky they are easy to hack: just de-solder the voice-coil from the PCB though the case. Completely silent AirTag with its IP rating intact!

Took 41 days, got to my lowest point within a year. About half the cut still left. In this controlled state its funny how clearly the creatine loading shows on weight graph. Looks like I am holding about 1500kcal deficit and burning 171 g of body fat per day.

Spent most of the day building a workflow in #n8n. It pulls all my #KoFi and #Gumroad payments from the Stripe API, handles the account categorization, and exports everything as a clean QIF file. Makes importing the whole financial year into my accounting software just a few clicks without AI.
