Neptune Week continues! I remixed Speed of Spice again! Because why not! Speed of Spice is too amazing, I can't help but remix it on loop. (this version is rather cool though, you should watch it :3) youtu.be/prKWIe2glbg

I'm sad because I live halfway across the world from all these conventions and such... Like, it would be so cool to meet a vocaP one day... Gotta get popular ig

How did it take me this long to notice that the "gender" parameter in most vsynth software is literally just a formant knob?

Constant Companions, Cardiac Contrepoint... I feel like there were some back door dealings going on or something.

It's Neptune Week! I'm finishing a bunch of nearly done projects to make room for some cornerstones! First up, this short disco remix of @luxie516.bsky.social's song Quiet The Voices!

Oh, also, I have a TikTok and Insta now... I'm curious to see which one does better with the same short. Also, I'm probably going to do more short covers, because it's great fun. You can find them at neptune-p.carrd.co!

Fact of the year: NZ is first in the world to celebrate New Year's! It's in about 15 minutes here. See you in 2026!

Neptune-P @ Neptune Week! @neptune-p.org · 30/12/2025

It's complicated... Many expensive headphones require amps, and audio snobs would say the quality of DAC affects the sound... So I would say it depends on the type of headphone.

Peak. This is so cool. Stare it at endlessly. Become one with the robot. And then, and only then, may you be worthy of beating a fish in a battle to the death.

I'll only be gone for a week... Ironically, I'll probably be more active on Bluesky than I have been.

Neptune-P @ Neptune Week! @neptune-p.org · 28/12/2025

[Hiatus] Neptune-P is being mothballed while I go on vacation to see relatives! I'll still be active and available, but possibly less so. Also, it's likely I won't do that much work while away from home. Thank you for your continued support!

[Announcement] My second original song Nowhere, submitted as part of the Miku Expo song contest, releases on Sunday, November 23 at 7:30PM EST! This song features Hatsune Miku, and it also has a lyrical gimmick... I'm very much looking forward to sharing this song with you all!

...This is definitely a baby march. 'Twas quite the surprise opening up Bluesky to a giant baby on my screen. Seriously, this is actually really good though.

Neptune-P @ Neptune Week! @neptune-p.org · 13/11/2025

I finally fixed my YouTube channel and added my Bluesky link, amongst other things... You know, Bluesky really is the linux of social media. It's free, open source, and if more people used/supported it it would be vastly superior to the rubbish corpo alternatives (who's worse, Elon or Microsoft).

Thank you, Vocaloid community, for making me feel like I can try. For making the wall to maybe finding my true identity a bit lower. You've all done me a great service in that, and I greatly appreciate it. You all are the best. Truly. -Your freshly minted girliepop, Neptune-P.

I'm scared to do this. I've been sitting here for half an hour drafting this post. But I think I want to. If nothing else, I can always revert back to they/them. If I like it enough here, I may pursue it IRL as well. This seems like a nice safe place to experiment.

I remember reading the side effects of HRT and getting incredibly excited. I remember holding someone's purse, and feeling something I haven't in a while. Like what I was wearing was me. But to be honest, it's still terrifying. I don't want people to hate me.

Neptune-P @ Neptune Week! @neptune-p.org · 08/11/2025

I think I'll try out going by she/her pronouns for a bit. I've been thinking about my gender identity, and I don't think where I am is right for me. As such, I'd like to try something new. I have been mulling this change over for a wee while, and it excites me.

I'm really excited about Vocapride! If I can just finish writing the damn thing... Who knew writing rap would be so hard. I complain about songwriting, but if I didn't set stupid goals like "write a song where every line contains another Vocaloid song title", maybe I wouldn't suffer as much.

010

Neptune-P @ Neptune Week! @neptune-p.org · 07/11/2025

That's no good... I hope things get better for you eventually. Here's some dopey photos of Pluto (in white) and Jupiter (in fawn). They have a brother, Mercury, who is being a sook in both of these photos.

I made significant progress on a project today! I'm hoping to release it in a couple weeks (although I just realized I have another release scheduled for then...). Anyhow, X doesn't know about this, I just enlightened them on Kiwi chocolate. Mwahahaha!

Neptune-P @ Neptune Week! @neptune-p.org · 06/11/2025

Someone advertised their work in my X comments section. I don't know how to feel about this. What's worse is they had some AI art in their MVs (I think it was an accident but still). I don't know how to feel. Like, I want to be nice to people, but I also despise AI and am unsure about self-adverts.

I went on a constant companions walk. I... have so many good things to say, I could write an essay. I'll spare you all, but let me just say that Constant Companions makes the world feel extra bright. 10/10 album, if you haven't heard it you should.

010

Neptune-P @ Neptune Week! @neptune-p.org · 04/11/2025

Just ignore them. I guarantee you, just as many if not more of us are on team "creative expression for all". They are a vocal minority.

000

Neptune-P @ Neptune Week! @neptune-p.org · 04/11/2025

Welcome! This seems to happen once every few weeks, people have a whinge for a few days and forget for next time. It's exhausting, really. It happens because the core vocaloid audience is used to small producers, and thus do not like "commercial" songs. Thus, when a big song comes along, pitchforks.

Fun fact: In New Zealand, we make rice krispie treats with honey. We call them rice bubble cake. It's yum, but I must admit I have never had a rice krispie treat to compare.

To celebrate being on this new platform, here's a Bluesky exclusive for you. This is an arrangement of my remix of Speed of Spice. Eventually, the plan is for it to feature SV2 Una! If you'd like to hear the original remix, it's linked below. I am so chuffed to be a part of VocaSky!

Jamie-P is truly something else. One of the things she does with her music that I love is self-referencing. If you listen to When Spring Comes and Birdbrain, you'll discover that one draws upon the other in such a novel way. This is a consistent trait that appears throughout her music. It's awesome.

Hello Bluesky! I'm Neptune-P, a synthpop Vocaloid producer. I'm still relatively new, having released my first song around 3 months ago. However, I'm working hard to improve and grow! I have a number of exciting projects in the works. It's so great to be here!
