when i was invited to a bob clearmountain production seminar early last year i got to see his process which to my surprised included quad mastering and reverb across his SSL bus stack + twin stereo reverbs / delays, also using that for example for a remaster of his masters for bowie's let's dance

ok, "rimlight" shader is "DONE" putting this down for a week or two to finish my other assignments prior to the mid semester break, but i did hastily get the 2024 running anims in (a new topology and anims are WIP) #godot

just realized i could get the final viewport texture and throw it on a quad in the bg so i can see the 240p output at the same time i'm working on the shader (bc godot doesn't reload shader file changes in running instances) and see it at both resolutions you're telling me you can just Do things?

as seen here, 1px resolve isn't great at 320x240, so to compensate for breakup i plan to try a 3rd pass of "basic outline" doing that thing where it extrudes the vertex/normals(?), & colour it the same way as this "rim" pass, hopefully thicken it -just- enough to solve this specific challenge (2/2)
