Summer winding down. Time for a relaxed day at the beach. Why am I not looking toward the ocean? Why look at the ocean when youre here? Cheers. Art by @rekkinartj.bsky.social

"Man, this day just kept going on and on." "Gym felt real good at least. Cant wait to relax and turn in though" "Well, guess one last thing to work out. Ya wanna help me out a bit?"

Kindness really is an amazing thing. Some of my most precious memories from fanfest were the kindness of strangers and new friends. People helping me out on crafts, trading at the gachapon or even giving me things from the kindness of their hearts! Those memories will make me smile for a long time!

That's probably the funniest picture I took at fanfest, I did not notice kefka looking at his phone in the background lmao #ffxivfanfest

Look at this grass mate, stuff's more HD than real life!

A lush field of what could only be described as "grass" stretches before you, it's resolutionary resplendancy making you question how could it's high definition visuals rival even the so-called "real life".

Oh. My. God!! I just realised The Sims Unleashed (a 2001 pets expansion) is called Unleashed because of “without leash” like a dog leash and not Unleashed like “Without limits” or whatever other translation my 8 year old Brazilian kid self thought was the meaning of it.

How can you reconcile feeling like you’re home and moving around constantly? On the past year I lived in 4 different houses and haven’t really felt like I settled. In a way change is good and I’m glad I have had this experience of moving all over, but I fear I don’t know what home is anymore.

You got this Evs! You gotta start and keep at it, honestly even if some small group likes you and your content you’re gonna be doing the lords work. You gotta do it for yourself too! It’s nice to see you being the change you wanna see in the world.

Ares 🐠 @neonhighways.bsky.social · 11/08/2025

But when the endless content becomes grinding levequests for achievements cause you achieved everything else it does something to a man. If I’d want anything from a MMO experience would be feeling like a noob where everything is new and cool. When you break a habit that gives you some perspective.

000

Ares 🐠 @neonhighways.bsky.social · 11/08/2025

Back when I really played that was my only game and I didn’t play anything else. I thought it was the best game ever and with endless content. I still think if you’re a new player it’s amazing and I’m jealous of the new players getting to know this game with all the qol over the years.

Ares 🐠 @neonhighways.bsky.social · 11/08/2025

For a long time it was my life and my identity. But getting a job and broadening my horizons and hell playing other games made it lose its luster. I can’t imagine farming for shit like I used to. I think I’ll become one of those players that subs for the msq and then unsubs.

Ares 🐠 @neonhighways.bsky.social · 11/08/2025

I haven’t really been playing much and thought I’d be excited to do all the content like occult crescent and cosmic exploration and allied societies.. but I just am not logging in. I think I did my time and that’s ok. I have like 23.000 hours in the game I think I did my time.
