iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I'm a few degrees short of properly understanding the question, but it triggered a memory of reading @jdragsky.bsky.social's essays on play - maybe there's something there that might be lead you down an interesting path? possumcreek.medium.com

Oh, I've played this one! Not... quite so frenetic, when I did, haha

The Delicious games are the Emily ones, right? They're not -quite- right; I don't want to move my character to serve/clean/cashier. The kind where you stand in one place and serve people who come to you.

Gamer hivemind, help: what's the best game that looks... like this? You know the kind. I'm seeking a specific nostalgic dopamine drip and clicking (not CSD's keybinds) and upgrading are musts. We're talking desktop ports of predatory mobile apps kind of territory.

Yeah, that’s kind of where I am too! The kind of person so soul-suckingly shitty that everyone around him becomes the worst version of themselves.

People are so confused when I say my favorite character in The Boys is Homelander. I just think he’s fucked up and that’s neat!! (disclaimer: have not finished The Boys)

I've scrolled past this multiple times, seemingly missing the cat every time.

Oh, yeah, my thing with Rimworld is that when I pick it up, Rimworld decides when I stop. I have to be careful.

Ranching is simply the most sustainable way to keep a (mostly peaceful) colony running! I've abandoned many a late-game colony because the chickens were too amorous.

The laptop stand that gets pulled to the bedside when someone is sick is called Dave, because that's his given name (i.e. his IKEA model name). Dave is a family MVP.

Rimworld moved off Unity to an in-house engine, ALL THE MODS STILL WORK, AND they teased a new game. What a great day to be my specific kind of nerd.

No idea if that helps lol. I know that *I* didn't grow up learning words like 'transitive' so it's all Greek to me too.

Lay has an A for 'to Act upon'; you lay something down, you lay yourself down, something is laid upon something else. Lie has an I in it because the "I" is the thing lying (I lie down, (i)t lies down). In my dialect, "lied" is never the past tense of "to lie" except if we're telling lies.

It was super easy! I got a skull-shaped pan, and the dough is just 1/6 of a roll of Pilsbury pizza dough each. The filling is pepperoni, green pepper, and mushroom, finely chopped, plus some tomato sauce.

Lindsay @neomeruru.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

If you can’t eat storebought pizza pockets, homemade is fine.

Promise Mascot Agency good slowpoke.gif!!! I got it as one of the games in @slowgameclub.bsky.social (in MAY) and I am living up to the spirit of the club for sure. The pitch: driving/collecting game where you dispatch mascots in a (haunted?) rural Japanese town to pay off your yakuza debt.

Tangent, Nomi-Nomi, and Sym join the roster of future Exocolonist photocards... plus Dys for reference too 🍄🚀💛

Tangent, a silver-haired scientist from I Was A Teenage Exocolonist, faces away from the viewer and looks up at the stars. She is wearing a backless halter top and her lab coat is drawn down to her elbows

Nomi-Nomi from I Was A Teenage Exocolonist makes a heart with their fingers while manipulating holograms with their other hand. Their clothing is bright orange and purple with a black skintight underlayer. Their hair is streaked pink, orange, black, and white.

Sym, purple-skinned alien with long black hair, poses seductively in a black skin-tight suit open past his navel.

Dys, from I Was A Teenage Exocolonist, poses shyly with one eye obscured behind a red flower. He is wearing a sleeveless skintight black suit.

Ohhhh I LOVE the wallet! I'm a big ginkgo fan, so I'd probably wear the cross-body bag too - I have your larger bag, but it's so structured that I'd especially like a softer cross-body

A long time ago, when the Dreamer was in the driver's seat, I signed up for a narrative course about... something. It was cheap-ish, it'd be good practice, and it started "sometime in the fall" which was SO far away. Friends, it's the fall. I cannot remember what class it was. I have no emails.

Got quite a bit of mileage out of convincing Momo to do her homework because "people who never learn how to do research end up getting AI to answer all their questions." I gotta say, installing that anti-AI software in her while she's young is paying dividends already.

I'm enjoying Nivalis Nights, but only with some heavy mod support. It's really rare that I'll mod a game at ALL - that's how much I'm enjoying what the game is, that I want to play it before they implement so much of the missing QOL. 😅

What’s the silliest thing you’ve done to cling to a sense of routine and control in the face of mounting deadlines? Because I’m auditing my socks.
