Oof, happened to my Brother and got a replacement thankfully… but think I need a manual w/o the daisywheel

I know it seems crazy but I recently bought a typewriter and have been writing more since. No distractions, physically gratifying, and much cheaper than these. It helps that it’s in its own spot and creates a distraction free space for writing.

Prometheus steals the illuminating fire and shares it freely with humanity. He is the artist, the rebel and the visionary potential in all of us. Any attempts to chain him are futile - once the fire starts spreading it never stops. #art #pencildrawing

Fellow book lovers! There is a better way to buy our books than Amazon. Instead of putting $ in Bezos' pocket, every purchase on @bookshop-org.bsky.social financially supports independent bookstores. You can even select the bookstore you'd like to support.

As someone in the US, *please* pick the least worst! American progressives did the whole country a disservice by arguing purity politics around Kamala, and now any chance of progressive change is a joke and we are just struggling to survive down here.

“Future Trumps as far as the eye can see” is about as horrific a sentence as I can think of

The work of archivists is vitally important, especially right now 😥

lol when your archive needs an archive - this is why internet archivists are so important, bc certain ppl want to erase history and we can’t let them.

Some AI art is actually quite “good” and can absolutely pass as the real thing. I think the consequence of this is that physical art is going to enjoy pride of place as art whose provenance is not in question. In this vein, I have also recently purchased a typewriter. IRL stock is going up.

Little things add up. I’ve always wanted to paint more, so I started with acrylic on little 4” x 4” canvases from a craft store. They are small enough to not be daunting but painting them has been crazy fun. I’m building up a tiny gallery slowly but surely.

Tiny canvas with a still life painting in pastel tones. A vase with two tulips, a wine glass. Paintbrush for scale.

Painting of a young man’s face, in pinks and greens.

Im convinced we’re on the verge of a new internet entirely. Little clouds everywhere.
