Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Most of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was delightful but I did NOT LIKE this guy. I had a lot of abominable snowman nightmares afterwards, but oddly with a man made of snow as the stand-in even though I understood it as the same entity. 000
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I most regret missing out on Pac & Pal. It's not really a great game, but the flyer is BEAUTIFUL 010
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 30/09/2026What’s a poster you had in your room growing up? I remember pulling this (or something very similar) out of my copy of the "Sonic in Your Face" 48-page special. (Later I bought some other copies so I'd have one in complete condition) 010
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Founds some issues of the Outlanders manga in a dollar bin earlier. I wasn't aware that this was printed in English! 220
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 24/09/2026The upcoming series Archie in Hell just makes me think of the largely forgotten 90s Marvel mini-series Mort the Dead Teenager. There was potential there! If Disney weren't a bunch of creatively bankrupt cowards, we'd have a Mort movie. 000
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I always appreciate being reminded how expensive pre-recorded home video was back in the 1980s. $40 for some episodes of GI Joe was considered cheap! It's obvious why rental stores were ubiquitous. 000
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 02/09/2026IDK why they specifically made a Halloween II costume, but it REALLY doesn't work without the mask 000
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 03/08/2026An ad from a 1984 Dazzler comic - the video game crash must have been in effect because "Games Clearinghouse, Inc" was trying to convince kids to start selling video games. Surely very few kids saw a direct profit from this, but I wonder what the entire dealer price list would have looked like. 000
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 25/07/2026Today I bought a rack-mount MIDI device from a garage sale 110
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Over the past several years, I've slowly built up a complete collection of Dazzler comics, because I really like her in X-Men. Now I'm reading them and... they're kind of bad. At least Bill Sienkiewicz's covers are cool. (I hope I'll enjoy the Dazzler the Movie GN or Beauty and the Beast mini) 140
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 18/07/2026Failed to find anyone with Thelemic leanings, struck out when finding the tarot deck I was looking for. But found some interesting-looking reading material (branchimg out into reading about Wicca) 000
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 02/07/2026Morning in a heatwave on a day where I don't have to go to work until later, feels like the right time to watch California Crisis. 030
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 01/07/2026When it's hot, I only really want to play handheld video games. I just started Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite This game is SO CUTE! 020
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 28/06/2026I've been picking up back issues of The Incredible Hulk lately and was pleased to find this issue I picked out of a $3 bin is signed by the writer, Peter David! 010
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 22/06/2026My Area #1 score is surely going to be gone in a flash, but it feels good that I can claim to be the NY high score holder, even with my absolute scrub-ass, barely-clearing score! I know there are other NY players that will blow me away but I can hold the record for as long as they don't play it! 000
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 20/06/2026I love when comic book covers are extremely comic booky. 010
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026My final upload from the American Treasure Tour: a short clip of the Chuck E. Cheese animatronics in action! I never went to a Chuck E. Cheese so I've never seen them in person before, so this was cool. Also I'm not used to recording video with my camera so I missed the actual song. 020
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026The last of the photos for this thread! I want to know what's in the "Artist's Pipe Dream - For Men Only" movie viewer... Also I love the weird looking Seeburg jukebox, I don't think I've ever seen one of those before. 110
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026The last of my car pictures! I can't help but think they're cool 210
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026Getting to the end, here are some misc SIGHTS that I liked. It's wild to see those shelves FULL in a random corner where nobody can easily get close and see what's on them. And I don't know why that particular Alice in the second pic looks like a Gelfling but she seems vaguely familiar somehow? 210
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026Many lamps! Pinball machines that deserve to be moved someplace where they can be played! Cheap eats! And the Maytag Repair Man 110
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026The king of Candy Land! An airplane! The Pep Boys! A BUNCH OF SEVERED HEADS??? 110
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026They had an array of Chuck E. Cheese animatronics and THEY ACTUALLY SANG FOR THE TOUR! I think I have a video clip of it that I should be able to post sometime... 120
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026I miss the era from when Trump was just some B-tier celebrity nobody took seriously... Also I love the giant Gumby 120
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 19/06/2026The Simpsons feat. Kermit, a wizard, a gnome, Wizard of Oz characters, more slot machines, MORE CLOWNS! And also some super-rad hand-shaped chairs! I wish I had one of those. 100
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 18/06/2026More than Christmas, there was also a ton of Easter decorations. Apparently the Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs set in the last picture are the *only* things in the collection that were donated - everything else was purchased. 100
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 18/06/2026Some of the Christmas collection! A lot of these came from department stores. Very neat! 100
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 17/06/2026There were already a bunch of clowns, but this is really THE CLOWN ZONE. The clowns in the second picture were mostly mechanized and moving. 100
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 17/06/2026This is supposedly the world's largest castle made of popsicle sticks. It's pretty impressive, but kind of gets lost among all the other wild things on display. 110
Charles D. @nemoide.bsky.social · 17/06/2026When Collegeville Costumes closed, the owner of the collection bought their entire inventory. I had no idea they even made costumes of the like of Mr. Bumpy, Mega Man, Dr. Killemoff, and Tails! IMO this should still be the default for kids' Halloween costumes. 110
