As a household that has invested in extra solar and a battery, I was dismayed to read this morning of the proposal to substantially raise the fixed charge. This can only go hand in hand with better feed in tariffs to the grid. We are saving state governments from having to invest in power plants.

I noticed that, too. It wasn't even on the top news this morning. The chair of the School of Chemistry at Uni of Melbourne is named after him. His daughter is Naomi Robson. Some newsworthy stuff there! (He lectured me in Chemistry back in the 80s..not so newsworthy)

Yep, we keep ours between 50% and 80%. When it drops below 50%, we plug it in, at home, no fancy chargers. Petrol stations are much harder to install and refuel. It's a non argument. EVs are fantastic city cars. Australian's don't seem to appreciate that probably 95% of trips are city trips.
