Remember, everyone, I said Sunday, November 30, but that's according to my time zone! My time zone is UTC−3 (Brasília) Today is still the 29th for me, and at this moment I am still making minor corrections to a specific scene in the circus.

everything that was missing! I would have liked to launch the official store along with the update, but I don't think I'll be able to make it in time. I'll also be working on that these days and will post on Patreon first before officially launching the store!

So let's say I'll be back to work on the next update sometime in January. I'm going to take some time to carefully work on the entire script, the rest of the designs behind the costumes (and everything hidden there), and get some rest. These last few weeks have been very busy, fixing...

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 29/11/2025

This is the last weekly update before the update. My plan is to release the update this Sunday, November 30. After the release, I will probably still have corrections to make, because something always ends up slipping through the cracks. I will keep an eye on it... #tfc #thefreakcircus

Hello everyone! First of all, I want to thank you all for the support and the kind comments! This whole week was just fixing and testing different parts of the game.A bunch of issues with dialogue, continuity, and sprites were found by the beta testers... #tfc #thefreakcircus

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

I’m working on correcting. Wish me luck! I’m so excited I’m already at the final stage before release!

21194

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

I think I can say the update is coming out this month, unless something goes really wrong. But so far everything is moving forward nicely. Some sprites still need to be finished or fixed, and the game’s menu still has a few issues...

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

checking every choice, because you know how one choice interferes with another. I need to be sure the right options lead to the right paths. Most of them are already fixed (except for one, still working on that one, I still don’t really know why it refuses to work)...

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

This week felt so long. I’ve been testing every part of the game nonstop and adding the sound effects I already have. Now I’m hearing Pierrot’s bell everywhere. I listened to it so much it’s haunting me!! Right now the testing phase is basically... #tfc #thefreakcircus

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 08/11/2025

This part’s long and tiring having to watch every single scene over and over just to be sure nothing breaks. Once all those tests are done, I’ll move on to generating the translations and working on the sound! So, depending on how these tests go...

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 08/11/2025

I finally finished coding everything! So the entire script is now fully implemented! Right now it’s sitting at almost 4,000 lines of code and dialogue! Next, I’ll start running tests to make sure all the lines and choices work as they should.... #tfc #thefreakcircus

They’ll be added later through small patches, along with proper credits in the game!

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

About translations, after I release this update, I’ll carefully go over things with the people who volunteered to help with the Spanish, Russian, and Japanese versions. These new languages need to be added more carefully, so I’d rather handle that closely after the update’s out...

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

pay close attention to things, even the ones your eyes tend to skip over. Some things are hard to reach unless you’re observant or stubborn. I’m in the final stretch of this last tent, so in the next updates we’ll start talking about release dates!

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

In other words, it’s a big chunk of code with plenty of variables that’ll need to be properly tested to make sure every possible outcome works as it should! I’m really curious to see what you’ll all do there. I’ll give you the same hint again for when you play: ...

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

I’ve been working on the Blue Tent! I’ve finished almost all of Jester’s sprites they just need a few final tweaks. As for Ticket Taker’s tent, dialogue-wise it isn’t as long as the others, but it has lots of choices and branching situations... #tfc #thefreakcircus

322518

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

At the moment, no one has volunteered for this language, so I will post about volunteer translations after the update is released!

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 25/10/2025

so this week’s little sneak peeks had to stay hidden. I’ll be able to show a bit more with the last tent!

0623

Neko Bueno @nekoblackcat.bsky.social · 25/10/2025

but please always read the trigger list before playing! And just a reminder, this update is NOT the full game. It’s just the introduction of the remaining characters and a bit more story. Unfortunately, the Purple Tent has a lot of spoilers...
