Postponed sorting out my taxes for last year/spring 2026 until now and came to the realisation I made fuck all in artist alley after the costs

Left work early last week due to a panic attack and then on my day off I was unwell from that stress and then topped it off with food poisoning tonight

My theory would be due to rising costs just to enter a con during a time where nerd culture/anime is almost mainstream and organisers offering very little to incentivise people to go, the bar has always been low for UK cons especially now they feel like they’re run by out of touch organisers

Coming to the realisation that anime conventions across the UK are just cooked lately, the drop off in attendance has been really noticeable across even the big name and local events this year and it’s really frustrating to see every event continue to raise vendor/artist/ticket prices yearly

Buying 100 of these to throw into a volcano

I have the misfortune of working somewhere with a very high demand product within these reseller “communities” and the levels these people will go through to get a few packs of a TCG/screw over real fans and their opps is insane 😮‍💨

Thanks! You only need to get to the airport, fly 10 hours to London and take an hour train🏃‍♂️💨

Graphic design is not my passion. Logo design is also not my passion. I was finally able to make a sign for my upcoming con this weekend 😀

The other week I was at work and when I left the toilet, TM fucking Revolution was waiting to use it next (I forgot my work hired him for half a day)

I drew this when I was 12 and was so proud that I scanned and posted it online with my full name written on there (I was not very smart)

New figure alert I picked her up for a tenner in Akihabara then saw she was like half the price at every store outside of Tokyo 💔

I’m back home now, the cheap Chinese connection flights to Japan helped save money but at the cost of my sanity

Thankfully this heat wave ends tomorrow 🥲 summer will still suck as it heats up but shall be a little more tolerable

110

Luci @nekoarcade.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

Genuinely, I heard so many Americans complaining loudly about the heat today which is funny

000

Luci @nekoarcade.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

“Just get aircon” doesn’t work in many cases as buildings like this are almost/over 200 years old and getting permission to install it is impossible or extremely expensive and tedious. We had almost no customers stay due to the heat and the humidity lingers all day. Americans can’t call us dramatic!

210

Luci @nekoarcade.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

I wasn’t going to comment on this heat wave but man. I just got back from working in a listed old building that traps heat so bad the elevator overheated and broke, the glue holding metal components on Mario Kart GP DX melted off, paint was melting off the stair rails and people nearly passed out

Past few days has me only feeling tired, overheated and bored…I just need to think about my trip to Japan soon 🥹 new Pop’n and a well timed Pop up shop shall greet me on the other side

the existence of this song utterly baffles me. tomosuke's first song for ddr and it's a gabber remix of it's a small world for the disney themed ddr spinoff. and it uses a heavily distorted sample with the word bitch in it. and the kicks kinda slap. why did he do this
