I spend twice as much time rebooting and reconnecting my Roomba than it would take to vacuum the room…so, I guess my submission to my robot overlords has started. FML

A data center in New Jersey spilled 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel into a local creek, putting the area’s entire river system at risk. Is it any wonder nearly 70 percent of Americans don’t want a data center in their community?

The Data Center at 5th and Quebec has been pulled from Council...perhaps for a later date? If my math is correct, this data center would pull 26 Megawatts of power...or enough to power nearly 23,000 homes...which is equivalent to all of Mount Pleasant and then some? dailyhive.com/vancouver/m3...

This Gov't needs to remember that BC often votes people OUT of office. The NDP nearly lost the last election to a party that barely existed before the election was called. I do not think their position is as strong as they think. 8.5 Billion $ deficit! www.biv.com/news/comment...

Mount Pleasant already has a fabulous data centre and it’s called the freaking VANCOUVER PUBLIC LIBRARY and it’s incredible ( with a cafe on the ground floor ) If you want free access to book collections, free Wi-Fi, in a LEED-certified building get yourself a library card and check it out !

For the past few days, I have turned off of Knight St. onto my street, and nearly hit some people standing in the middle of the intersection, oblivious to the world around them, taking photos of cherry blossoms…traffic backed up in the other direction. Sigh.

Main St is shutting down again for Pleasant Day Festival! 🎉 From 16th to King Ed, we’re turning the street into a massive neighbourhood party. After welcoming 100,000+ people last year, we can’t wait to bring back the #music, #food, art, games, and local businesses. Everyone’s invited! #vancouver

Question to our American friends. Does your Social security work like our Canada Pension Plan...it is something you pay into ( via your paycheque ) so you have something for your later years? Our CPP is OUR money...we paid into the plan. Our Gov't could not just take it away. Is SS the same?
