At one point of yesterday's ride I was downwind of the wildfire at Trawsfynydd. The air was noticeably smokey. This photo was once I got north and was looking down into a neighbouring valley. You can see the smoke.

This is very nice chocolate. At this point I think they're trolling us with the tasting notes however.

I was supposed to be in Scotland, but I'm not. So I've come away on the bike for a night on a campsite in Wales instead.

I love Scotland and can (mostly) take it whatever the weather. My mate doesn't seem to tolerate it as much. We've come in his car, so I have to do what he wants and he wants to go home. So 2 days around Mull and now we're heading back to Oban to drive home in the morning. It is what it is.

Bit of a mixed bag for me over the weekend. Didn't have any time for riding so got up early and went out for a few hours before starting work. Gorgeous in the Shropshire hills and 22°C at 7am.

Went gravelling this weekend. Had planned a 4 day trip. 2 days of hard slog on relentless gravel paths, with fully laden bikes took its toll. We decided on an easy day back to the car yesterday and came home a day early. No shame, had fun, I'm very tired.

Went to a pizza place over the weekend that had this sign up. Made me chuckle. Also, had a Welsh Rarebit pizza and it was absolutely delicious.
