I wonder if people are conflating this story with what's happening now. I'd be really surprised if, for example, 1) there's evidence Iran is using USDT to take payments today and 2) Tether hasn't frozen the addresses yet. They usually move pretty fast.

yes, but we can avoid definitively answering that question until close to when a CRQC appears (or one appears imminent). also, no matter how we choose to answer it, at the time both forks (at least) will prob coexist I think we have to answer the other questions much sooner to be prepared in time.

I don't think SHRIMPS is a done deal, and doesn't it require state? that's a big change. also we should probably support a few hidden inside a P2MR type thing for functionality just in case, so which others? imo lots of unanswered questions remaining.
