so thrilled to have added Cork Zine Festival, Cork Zine Club event in October, Rizo Masr & Contemporary Image Collective all on Zinemap.com for everyone to see, and for zine makers to connect. I love the effort zinemap are making and wanted to make sure both cities i belong to are pinned down!

Updated with a photo of Old Manial (المنيل القديم) which is currently being demolished and families displaced. Also added two more photos, one of a very comforting bench before one of the small bridges on البحر الصغير, and another of a clipping of the Nile as seen from the balcony.

A new friend -Rima from Tunis- has asked me if i had made any zines before. Spreading them out infront of me has given me such a huge needed push to work on a new angle for the Manial zine ❤️ so grateful

Amal cannot stop crying as she watches doctors struggle to save her son after Israeli drone fire nearly killed him. He urgently needs evacuation outside Gaza for treatment, but the family cannot afford the cost. This child still wants to live. Even $5 could help save him chuffed.org/project/019c...

Self soothing by textures is so grounding which is part of art therapy. wish i could make a room with a careful journey of textures to go through and just feel better at its end. or is it a man made jungle? How did we twist the world so much that we have to build substitutes for all what we broke?

The vast majority of journalists killed since 2023 have been killed by Israel, most of them Palestinians. The deadliest massacre of journalists in nearly 2 decades was committed by Israel in Yemen. Israel killed Iranian and Syrian journalists. Today, Israel killed another Lebanese journalist.

Before she was murdered, Amal Khalil was sent a threat on WhatsApp by somebody with an Israeli number. Journalist Jeremy Loffredo then reached out to that number and the individual was unsurprisingly unapologetic about murdering journalists.

WhatsApp screenshot from number +972 54-869-5113:

Translation:
Well, ma'am, you're moving from village to village, but maybe you haven't been to enough funerals and hospitals. There's a lot of sadness and
grief behind your smiles that you're trying not to show behind your smiles on Twitter. Let's
see what the answer will do... Is your house
still standing, Miss Amal?

We know where you are and we'll reach you when the time is right, even though you're not worried about us. But in the end, we'll take everyone into consideration.
I suggest you escape to Qatar or somewhere else if you want to keep the connection between
your head and shoulders:)

WhatsApp message to +972548695113:

Jeremy:
Hi,
My name is Jeremy Loffredo. I'm a journalist for the American
publication Drop Site News and I'm wondering if you have any
comment on the threat you sent to Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil.

IDF asshole:
These are not innocent people. The journalists affiliated with Hezbollah that Israel eliminated were also spies for Hezbollah, approaching our soldiers and then informing the terrorist organization where our soldiers were in real time. Similarly, on October 7, journalists affiliated with Hamas were eliminated because they were intelligence officers. Send greetings to all journalists affiliated with Hezbollah, for anyone who works for the organization should know that they are destined for death.

It's unbearable to scroll past posts about harassers & abusers, victims' statements, then go on about your day with all the personal traumas erupting on a deeper level, allowing you to function with a taste of vomit up your throat. Almost impossible to be a girl and not have gone through that.

idk how i forgot watching those back to back winter25! Candy, and Love & Death. Both tell the same story of Candy, accused of a gruesome murder in the 1970s and released since it was ruled self defense. Each has a different take on wild Candy and how she ends up working in counseling. #tvshows

Emily in Paris's latest season is boring. I think the only characters going through a struggle and showing character development are Sylvie, Julien and Mindy. Alfie and luc are well written and show us different sides of them. Gabriel is a boyfriend card,
