We should start calling it "degenerative AI", since it's only guaranteed impact is degrading skills and efficiency.

Kimi at this point rather than 84. But still behind! The fact is, Kimi has consistently outperformed George across the season. He’s been faster than him. Full stop. #F1

Had Russell finished these races in the position he was in when he went out he would have 57 more points. Kimi also had a DNF and was in front of Russell when he retired. So using the same calculation he would have 18 more points. So had these issue not happened Russell would be 45 points behind

Really tired of this “oh Eussell has been so unlucky” narrative this F1 season. He’s had 2 mechanical DNFs, 1 DNF as a result of a collision and 1 zero points finish because he sped in the pit lane. In only 1 of those was he actually jostling with Kimi for the lead. In the others he was behind Kimi.

Wow. JFC this is grim. Next time our university admin puts pressure on us to apply for grants my response will be: why would I spend all that time and effort when a person isn’t even going to look at it? I’m sure their response will be: use AI to write the application…

I think once black clad men are interfering with rescues at sea, we are past "legitimate concerns". Once they're attacking boats, and risking the lives of everyone on board, it's just thuggery. The Home Secretary's statement is on the side of criminals. There's no other way to read it.

Panel 1:
A Red Guy with AI across his chest looks like he’s about to run away. A Yellow Guy stands next to him. Red Guy says “I’m the future, buddy. You comin’?”
Yellow Guy replies “Nah”

Panel 2:
Red Guy is almost out of the panel. He leans in and says “Enjoy getting left behind, pal”
Yellow Guy replies “ok”

Panel 3:
Yellow Guy stands alone.

Panel 4:
Close up on Yellow Guy, there is a quiet “huff-huff-huff” noise coming from behind him

Panel 5:
Yellow Guy turns to look behind him

Panel 6:
Close up on Yellow Guy’s face as if from the point of view of an attacker.
Yellow Guy yells “Jesus Christ”

Panel 7:
AI Red Guy is now chasing the Yellow Guy.
Red Guy: “Use me”
Yellow Guy “No”
Red Guy “USE ME”

So omissions rather than misrepresentation of facts, then. Two (or three) things can be true at once: that research misconduct occurred; that Cambridge failed on a number of levels; and that the media coverage of this was out of control. It doesn’t have to be one or the other.

Still work to do, for sure. But Xabi Alonso seems to know how to get more out of these players, and has made some excellent transfer decisions. Emi Martinez is also a great solution in goal. Already taking charge of the box, marshalling the players, giving instructions - things Sanchez never did.

Which a huge difference from the last few seasons in how Chelsea are playing. It’s so good to see us playing positive, attacking football, after years of always looking for a backwards pass, being late to every second ball, and looking generally lost. They’re playing with intent and creativity.

The number of people who think it’s an absolute when it’s limited in all sorts of ways just blows my mind. Now, just because we accept some limitations doesn’t mean that any and all limitations are fine. Where the line is will change with time. But let’s not pretend it is or should be absolute.
