I think a big part of it is how it became so regimented and segmented into universally accepted gateways. I miss those day when it felt more like the wild west and you just stumbled on random angelfire pages people made for their dog...

Old fan art drawing of Commander Cullen (Dragon Age). I remember how much I hated drawing on this very rustic paper, but hey, great textures! #dragonage

Portrait of Cullen - made with colour pencils, pens and then some digital clean up.

My Skaven warband for Mordheim is finally done. Really happy with it and now I’m seriously considering collecting Skaven again. #paintingminiatures #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer #skaven #mordheim

There's something just so satisfying about collecting Skaven. They look amazing; their range has sooo many crazily beautiful models (and it's pretty updated too!) and paint-wise you can do so much with them. Great job on these!

I had actually given completely up on this movie, but fortunately got invited to go and see it this weekend! So excited!

By far the best #NeverwinterNights module I've played so far - It really catches the Baldur's Gate 1 atmosphere; so many funny side quests having my poor paladin encountering murder mysteries, werewolf birthdays, garlic pies and telling young goth-girls to go home to their parents. Brilliant!

I know a cursed D&D item when I see one. Just be "that" player and look at the first 1000 and call it a day 👌

It's so funny and original to see a red Tzeentch-model; really good job! (And of course you will start a new army, someday. It's all according to plan.)

If you remember, please hit me up with an update once you try it. At SPIEL they had a demo area with games, and the Starcraft 1 soundtrack running on loud speakers; it was a pretty awesome experience : D unfortunately didn't get to try a game, so I'm very curious.

This game has had my curiosity since I saw it at SPIEL last year. Did you try it? And what's your impression of the minis?

Pictures from today's #Warhammer #Oldworld battle - Forces of Chaos clashed with Grand Cathay in a mighty battle for dominance, which ended with a small and close victory to Cathay. The Chosen and new chaos cultists really put in a lot of work and are super fun.

It's so interesting to see the non-remake version again... This was my first ever real horror game I played, and it stays with me to this day.

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

These were just cheap ones i randomly found in Aktion (in germany) so they only came with a sticker. I was thinking of maybe gluing them in if i don't care about the shelves, but drilling i think you would need a better brand of lights for. Or 3d print holders that you can then drill in maybe?

010

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Same : D But in the four years I had them, it only happened once, so now I'm just putting the minis I care the least about beneath them and hope for the best. It's worth the tradeoff, I feel, for having a scenic view 😸

Something so incredibly peaceful about organizing your Warhammer late at night when everybody is asleep and it rains outside

Next stop of my nightly journeys in Azeroth is Ashenvale. Nighttime doesn't change much here; it's an enormous forest and not really my favorite zone. Still, if you're looking for peace, this is your place. Tall trees, huge lakes and just the chiming music let's you disappear far away in the night.

I’m making a small handful of new mini scrolls before getting ready for x-mas season. So get hyped for Discworld-themed ones coming later this month 🔮

As an expat, I feel tagged in this game...

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

The Wetlands is an interesting zone in the night. Marsh as far as you can see, until you reach the ocean. Strange creatures abound and everything feels eerie. It was one of the first zones I saw pictures of, before WoW launched, and I remember being so hyped for it. Very empty of players, though.

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

At least you can now apply highlights to yourself, once it's dry?

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Sounds refreshing- I played...a lot...of Stardew, and it's really hard to find something to replace it. Travelers Rest once it's finally out of EA for sure, but until then, yeah.. I'll try and look into it.

000

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

I'll give it a look. Don't know whether you played Stardew, but if you did; what would you say the biggest difference is between the two games?

000

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

I always wanted to give this one a try. I love Stardew Valley, but curious about how this one compares?

I always like playing healer or support characters, but man...doing dungeons and healing on HC; just the thoughts gives me anxiety tbh : D

000

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

I heard that HC is very close to the original feeling of Vanilla, which is by far my biggest reason to join. Unfortunately, I see Doomhowl is NA, I think? I'm playing EU : ( otherwise would love to join.

000

NegativeTHAC0 @negativethac0.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

I genuinely think I can run that zone from start to end in my sleep; leveled so many characters there. And the serene transition it has into Westfall later is just so fitting. I saw you've been playing HC as well; I am tempted to try it out.

Elwynn Forest is probably the most nostalgic zone of all time for me. The human starting-area; the music alone takes me instantly back to 2005, when I started the game for the first time and knew this was about to be very special. Everything here is so peaceful, so many people even at night.

Duskwood next. This zone doesn't change much in the night; it's still dark. It's weirdly cozy; probably one where I feel stepping outside of town spells certain danger. Everything is so quiet and foreboding, yet you meet the occasional low level player traveling through the dark forest. #classicwow

Redridge in the evening. There is a calm wind in the trees, and dusty, idyllic paths lead around the lake; with much danger if you stray. I have so many early memories of this zone and its little town; the quests are comfortable and so many low level players to meet and greet. #classicwow

Tonight on #dnd my bard and his cat won off a dance-battle against a rapping fey, by performing interpretive riverdancing of the poems about Sir Sten the Knight; ending up shaving 10.000 gold pieces off my debt to them. Good times all around!

Been mostly living my life in nocturnal classic wow these days. So many zones are so idyllic and peaceful in the night. Westfall always was so special to me, but it brings me so much peace to just wander it now and level super slowly with other players.
