I think for me it just comes down to what makes me a better writer. Using AI for anything that I can’t figure out will not. Don’t get me wrong, AI has its place. But I use it for things I already know how to do, like certain calculations for dates & distances. Other than that… nada. Not for my work.

just done that? But then I thought: NO. If I’d done that, I wouldn’t have learned my own way of making my charts, I wouldn’t have re-read a few mistakes and fixed them, I wouldn’t have learned the intricacies involved in doing the work because… success is in the details. So no. I’m happy I didn’t.

AmQuerying WritingCommunity Work I’m doing before starting Book 2 of my Fantasy Romance series. 1: basic plot graph w/exactly what happens in each section. 2: has occupied my every thought for the last 10 days — An entire timeline for book 1 that blends into book 2.

A graph spanning the beginning, middle and end of a book. It shows 6 points. 1: exposition 2: conflict 3: rising action 4: climax 5: falling action 6: resolution. Under each point there is text of what my books includes that I’ve crossed out to keep the content confidential.

Image is titled : Esmera Timeline. It is a timeline chart with 4 lines evenly placed on the image. Each line has 10 points. Each point is the date system I used in my novel below which is the chapter number and below that are bullet points describing what happens on those dates in those chapters. I have scribbled out the content to keep it confidential.

Today, I started work on book 2 of my Romantasy series. Spent 7 hours trying to figure out how create a timing template that I can use for the whole series &how to make a massive printable pdf of it. I tried canva, then excel. Asked AI a million ‘how to’ Q’s. Then decided to…not use it. Kill me now.
