My piece for @alinxhen.bsky.social's MerMay art trade event! Very far from my usual style but I wanted to try doing an art nouveau style illustration <3 Beautiful Camio for @sicucumber.bsky.social, trying on a new seaweed binder

Art nouveau inspired illustration of a merman with long blonde hair and a pink starfish in his hair. His long tuquoise tail is framing the image on the right side. He has top surgery scars and is trying on a seaweed binder.

I still can’t get over the colors. Whatever rendering technique you used, it’s magic

I had the great joy to host another Arttrade event this month! This one was #mermay themed🧜🏼‍♀️🫧 I got to draw for @nebulaah.bsky.social this time!!! Chose their OC Ivari to make an illustration of and I'm so satisfied with the result!💚 [ #art #ocsky #digitalart #fantasy #oc ]

@nebulaah.bsky.social 's OC Ivari
A humanoid woman with dark long hair transformed into a mermaid. There's scales over her chest and she's wearing dark armour. Her dark tail is coming out of the water behind her, dripping with dark ooze. Shadow-hands are grabbing Ivari by her shoulder and head. It's quite dark with a heavy green lightning.

I am so so so thrilled with how she looks, my friends from her campaign are thrilled with how she looks, my FAMILY likes the piece, thank you so much!!! <3

Im so glad people like the design k had so much fun with it :,)

Thank youuuuuu Yeah I think I must’ve gotten possessed for that part

still not over this piece and that tailllll

My jaw is still on the floor

The movement and shape of the tail, all the details, you CRUSHED this piece OUGH

The rendering on that tail CHEFS KISS

This was originally going to be a lined piece, but the rendering got away from me and I’m very proud of that — but I am still a fan of how my sketch looked so I figured I should share it

ITS MERMAYYYY! 🧜‍♀️ Joined an art trading event and spun up a deep sea bioluminescent lady :> Gift for @cynvii.bsky.social of the beautiful Bliss 💕💗 Thank you @alinxhen.bsky.social for hosting <3 [ #mermay #art | more in replies ]

Digital art of a pink mermaid in the deep sea, inspired by anglerfish, juvenile rainbow tripod fish for the colors, and the scalloped ribbonfish for some other shapes.

Hehe yes I LOVED giving my characters statement hair !! He was captured by a cult 😔 used for magical experimentation, now concerned about being found ever since he got out. But he started running with a criminal group that tries to take down black market magical smuggling operations, so good on him

The color palette is perfect !!!

M is probably my proudest design. I was exploring how to tell his story through his personal style. Drawing from punk DIY fashion sensibilities, I had him reconstruct the coat of his former kidnapper to style into something of his own. The body mods are to make himself unrecognizable — to himself.
