Gas Safe registered engineers carry an ID card. This could be a physical card or a digital card. If an engineer does not show you their Gas Safe ID card when they arrive at your property, don’t be afraid to ask to see it. Find out more at bit.ly/GasSafeIDCard #GSW26

In the wrong hands gas work can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions or carbon monoxide poisoning. If there’s a problem with your gas appliance, don’t try to fix it yourself. Always use a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. Find out more at bit.ly/DoNotDIYGas #GSW26

Anyone carrying out gas work for you must be Gas Safe registered. If they’re not, they’re working illegally. Cutting corners to save money is not worth it; it can put lives at risk and could cost more to fix. Check your engineer is Gas Safe at gassaferegister.co.uk #GSW26

Landlords have legal duties to help keep their tenants gas safe, including arranging a gas safety check. Tenants should always ask to see the engineer's Gas Safe ID when they arrive at their home. Find out more at bit.ly/GSRLandlords #GSW26

When were your gas appliances last checked? All gas appliances such as boilers, cookers and fires should be checked every year by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer to help make sure they’re working safely. Find more gas safety advice at gassafetyweek.co.uk #GSW26

Our recent 'A Warm Homes, A Fair Chance' report highlighted teachers and educators as the fourth emergency service. Teachers know that if their pupils live in cold, damp homes, it can impact their ability to do homework and attend school due to illness.

Our ‘Paying for Fuel’ course will teach frontline workers how we are charged for gas and electricity and how we can help vulnerable households save money. Learners will compare different types of tariffs, consider different payment options and the process of switching provider.
