#Friday plant post 🌿 In Greek mythology, the laurel tree was once Daphne, a nymph. Apollo fell obsessively in love with her and chased her To protect herself, Daphne asked the gods for help and was turned into a tree Since then, laurel symbolizes protection, boundaries, and choosing yourself

#French word of the week: apaiser It means to soothe, to calm, to bring peace Not to erase pain — but to make it softer, more bearable I really love how French has words that feel like emotions 🤍 #FrenchWordWednesday #FrenchLanguage

#Friday plant post 🌿 Dahlia — a layered flower of beauty, resilience, and quiet strength Its name dah-lia even sounds like mine in some languages ( 🇯🇵 & 🇲🇫 ), and that little echo makes it feel personal to me A gentle reminder that names and nature sometimes meet unexpectedly 🌸

#French word of the week: flâner To wander without a goal For a long time, this word felt close to me But this year, something meaningful changed I finally see my direction, my steps, and the reason behind them ♡ Flâner is no longer part of my life 🌱 #WordOfTheWeek #FrenchLanguage #WednesdayVibes

Happy 2026! ✨ I disappeared for a bit because Bluesky locked me out with a weird age check, but I’m finally back. Hope you spent the holidays warm and loved, set new goals, and will reach them this year. Love you all—so glad to be here again 🤍

French Christmas fact 🎄 Noël is basically Yule — an ancient winter solstice celebration The longest night, the rebirth of the sun, fire, evergreen trees, mistletoe, gifts, feasting Christianity didn’t erase Yule — it renamed it Same roots, new name ✨ #Wednesday #french #fanfact

I really thought I’d finish my art by Sunday, but rendering hit me out of nowhere 🫠 Lineart and pose went smoothly, and I’m actually proud of the hair (best I’ve done so far!) But after 8 months without drawing, rendering felt… forgotten:( so I’m sharing my new Sky skin while I fight the render 😭

#Friday plant post 🌿 Anemone comes from a Greek myth about Adonis, loved by Aphrodite. He died while hunting, and where her tears mixed with his blood, anemones bloomed. A gentle symbol of love, beauty, and how quickly life passes ╥﹏╥

#French word of the week: “piscine” 🏊‍♀️ It became one of my favorites for two reasons: it sounds like how my brother used to mispronounce “orange” when we were kids, and I genuinely love swimming. Funny how a single word can carry so many warm memories (≧▽≦)

Slowly coming back to drawing after an 8-month break 🦊 I’m a bit slower now, but happy the skill is still there (◡ ω ◡) Starting my return with Vixyn — she lived only in my head for a long time, so this feels safe and special #wip 🤍 #OC #ocart #artwork

#Friday flower post 🌸 My favorite myth says aconite began to grow where Cerberus’ drool hit the earth as Heracles brought him out of the Underworld. Deadly petals born from a guardian beast — I love that contrast of fierce and delicate 🐾🤍

French #Wednesday ✏️🇫🇷 So, funny discovery: my dyslexia + learning French = absolute chaos. I keep writing French words in my other alphabet without noticing… and only realize it when I reread everything 😅 Maybe it’s because the cursive looks so similar? No idea how I’ll survive exams, but we move 🦊✨

I was never into #Pokémon, but sometimes I’d see people posting their pretty cards, so I got curious… Downloaded the TCG app “just to check it out” Big mistake. Now I’m completely hooked and waiting for new pulls like an excited fox 🦊✨ Here’s my precious MYSHAYLA — I love her already ಥ‿ಥ ♡

#Friday plant ♡ Today — violets. Learning French makes me want to write “violet” as “violette,” and it reminded me how much I love this plant. Pretty leaves, flowers all year… and a Greek legend where Zeus grew violets to comfort his beloved Io, who was turned into a cow for falling in love with him

I took a whole week off — no posting, no socials, just resting. I didn’t realize how heavy everything had started to feel until I finally slowed down a little. I haven’t felt this calm in a long time. I hope my foxfires are doing well too :) Thank you for being here ♡

Happy Monday, foxfires ♡ I’ve been feeling a heavy mix of stress and instability lately, and it’s exhausting I want to bring creativity back into my life — it helps me breathe, focus, and feel progress again I’ll post a bit less for now, but I want my presence here to have purpose again 🩷

Finally watched Hazbin Hotel S2. I’m a bit let down by how Alastor was handled. A year ago I saw fan theories full of cool hints and depth, and I hoped the show would explore something like that. The art and designs are still gorgeous, but the character writing felt surprisingly flat to me ಥ_ಥ

A small add-on to my fern post 🌿 One person told me about the “royal fern” — its spores look like tiny flowers. They’re not actual blooms, but he opened my eyes to a sweeter, more romantic way of seeing them. Maybe I am too serious… and maybe as an artist I should let myself imagine a little more 🤍

Tiny plant lore 🌿 In Slavic folklore there’s a mythical “fern flower” — it appears for a moment on midsummer night (ferns don’t bloom in reality). Whoever finds it gains luck, hidden knowledge, even a little magic in love. Some miracles show up only to those truly searching (◡ ω ◡) #plants #folklor

I think Prairie Peaks is the most beautiful place in Sky. Not just because of how it looks, but because of how it feels — the calm, the light, the change of time. Sometimes I just go there to watch it all slowly shift ♡ #skycotl #skychildrenofthelight #game #skygame

Did you know “foxglove” once meant “folks’ glove” — the glove of the fae? Legends say fairies gave foxes its flowers to walk unseen through the woods. 🌿 Beautiful but deadly, many avoid planting it — some even call it bad luck to bring home. Yet in a bouquet, it means honesty and connection #plants

Lately everything feels heavier. I’m doing my best to keep up with French, but it’s been taking all my energy. Today was one of those exhausting days. Still, I’m here. How was your day, my little foxfires? I hope you’re doing okay 🦊🤍

Took a little day off social media yesterday and went to a flea market for the first time 🧺 Found this Silent Hill DVD and now I’m dreaming of building a whole shelf of old discs that remind me of my childhood — the cozy 2000s vibe 💿🌿

watched the first Halloween movie last night and actually really liked it (even if I laughed through half of it 😆) me & my sis didn’t go out to see how people celebrate — not the right mood this year. maybe next time, if life’s calmer 💭 how did my lil foxfiers spend Halloween? 🎃✨

020

✦ VIXYN ✦ @ne0nvixen.bsky.social · 31/10/2025

Never celebrated Halloween before, but I’ve always dreamed of seeing it in real life 🎃 Even in our little town people still celebrate, so if my sister and I find the energy, we’ll go check it out. Later I’ll watch something spooky for the vibes 👀 p.s. what about you, my lil foxfiers? 🦊

Today feels like a small new beginning 🌱 I’ve wanted to learn more about plants for a while — not just their look or use, but the way our ancestors connected with them. Thinking of sharing bits of that here sometimes, if you’d like to join me 🍃
