This is basically the same software that is powering the Tesla Cybertaxis. With FSD (Supervised) they can get away with claiming that any accidents are the fault of the driver who is required to step in. But the liability for the Cybertaxi will be Tesla's.

Because billionaires are experts at everything, as proven by the fact that they are really rich. Musk is a living, walking embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

The Fed sets the interbank rate, the rate that the fed lends to bank. However, the interest rate for treasury bills (t-bills) is set at auction. Mortgages and other loans are based on t-bill or LIBOR rates. This is something that the Fed can't control and Trump doesn't understand.

What's particularly hilarious is that Trump is telling the American people that he is going give them their own money. In the ridiculous event that this happened the national debt would be raised by something like a trillion dollars and the taxpayers would be responsible for covering the debt.

"Falling asleep is a significant cause of auto accidents. Here FSD demonstrated how it is safer than a human driver.", responded Elon Musk (the conman and liar).

Something about armadillos not spreading leprosy. Perhaps I misread the thread.

What little I know about Leprosy comes from The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen Donaldson. And an article, long ago, in the Wall Street Journal (before Murdoch) about the spread via armadillos. An example was a texan who cut himself while preparing armadillo tacos (yech!).

Transmission: Humans can contract the disease by handling armadillos or consuming their meat. The risk is highest if the bacteria enter the body through broken skin or by inhaling respiratory droplets.

What, really? Darrell Issa is still around? He's not in the district that I vote in, so I thought that he had joined Devin Nunes in retirement. I wonder if the farmers who voted for Issa are enjoying the high diesel and fertilizer prices and the collapse of China a a market for US ag products.

I just bought a copy. I have not had a chance to read it yet, but I look forward to it. The illustrations are wonderful. Being criticized by the maniacs at the WSJ is a badge of honor.

I wonder what is going to happen to Tesla stock when it turns out that there are not actually thousands of Robotaxis picking up passengers. And when Optimus robots turn out to be such a bust that they make the CyberTruck look like a success.

We are growing tomatoes and zucchini. Lewis has left these alone. Our neighbor grows cucumbers and Lewis has left those along too. Perhaps he is a very well behaved groundhog.

Opps. Clearly with the venomous spiders and 100 species of venomous snakes Australia has really cute wombats.

I love groundhogs. I am originally from California, living in Vermont. There are no groundhogs in California, so they are new to me. There is a local groundhog living near our house. We named him Lewis. I am completely enchanted. Lewis eats dandelions and clover.

When questioned about conflicts of interest in his second term Trump responded "I found out that no one cared". If by no one he means the majority of voters, this seems tragically true. Where is the outrage that Trump has made almost 2 billion in the first years of the second term?

Just wait until the same technology is used for autonomous CyberTaxis. Of course these will only be allowed in low regulation states like Texas.

Tesla gets away with this my claiming that the driver is responsible and should intervene as is the case here. With a Robotaxi this will not be the case. I am waiting for the Robotaxi fail and a "rapid unscheduled disassembly" in Tesla's stock price.

The issue is not so much the politicians but the voters who support or are willing to put up with Trump's behavior. If the voters demanded it, Trump would be impeached and removed from office. Instead the voters tolerate one of the most disgusting human beings to ever hold political office.

For many years I have been convinced that printers hate humanity. There is a dark design behind printers. They fail when they are most needed. For example, right before you need to print handouts for the presentation to management.

Trump's motto is that of an ex-president of Peru: "To my friends, everything, to my enemies, the law". The United States has become a corrupt country.

I completely support Ukraine and I am well aware of the brutality of the Russian. I know that Ukraine is defending itself. But that does not change the tragedy of war. This guy was probably someone who needed the money, joined the SMO and died. This is on Putin's head, but it's still sad.

It's hard to imagine Trump buying stocks himself. Or even having a corrupt strategy to buy a stock of a defense contractor that is going to get a big contract. It's just too much mental effort for the mentally challenged Trump. Maybe Eric or Jr. is doing the buying.

The Cartels are largely supply a demand in the United States. As Don Winslow illustrates so well in his Power of the Dog novels, the drug war is pointless. There is no "taking out the cartels". Drug legalization would not be any panacea, but it would be better than what we have today.

In addition to the usefulness of generating starch from carbon dioxide (end, I would assume some hydrogen source like water) this seems to hold out the promise of consuming carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to provide carbon capture and reduce global warming. It sounds too good to be true.

I don't understand why they are showing Bezos' Melania movie in blue states and cities like Boston. They should pick the ruby red states where people might actually go see it. Of course Melania is an immigrant and she "talks funny". But she is married to the cult leader.

The economy may not be terrible right now, but people are worried about their jobs and whether they could find a new job. By 2028 the impact of the new generation of AIs will be affecting the economy in a more significant way. Politicians have no idea how to deal with this.

I'm sure this is true because Elon Musk is a genius and the actual embodiment of Tony Stark in the Marvel comics. I write this as satire, but the people who believe this are why Tesla stock is not selling for $30/share. Robotaxies, Tesla robots in every house. Any day now.

For the cynical: There must be some period you have to be employed by ICE to the the bonus and the student debut relief. I wonder if someone could join and basically sit on their hands. When ICE is sent out, just sit on the sidelines. Be the best incompetent and lazy ICE minion ever.

There are many issues and actions of Trump Admin people that can be condemned. There is a lot of clownish behavior that can be held up to ridicule. I am not comfortable ridiculing people because of their choice in erotic reading material. People keep their kink's hidden for fear because of this.

When it comes to the maybe war with Venezuela they are not even trying to manufacture a reason beyond "fentanyl drug dealers". They are not even bothering to get the intelligence community to cook up a false narrative. If it happens they're just going to do it. It will be "who's going to stop me"

What is really creepy is that there is no state in the US where the age of consent is under 16. So sex with a 15 year-old is statutory rape, at a minimum.
