transparency was wasted on electronics that didn't deserve them and died before they actually started looking cool on the inside. back then it was just bare pcbs and DIPs and now that there's all this cool shit going on we can't see! hopefully the front plate of the frame will be easy to replace

framerate is just way more noticeable when you're in control of what's happening on screen. a movie playing at 24fps can feel perfectly smooth, or watching a video of a game at 30 can look fine, but playing a game at either of those framerates is a slideshow

can't speak for lossless scaling in particular, but i think all frame gen technologies work essentially the same way and they all have the same issue. the gpu has to hold 2 whole real frames ahead of what's being displayed to generate the fake frames in between. the latency is horrendous.
