Editing for a non-native speaker really makes you realize what a mess English it. Yes "pay back" is a verb and tends to imply giving somebody money or gratitude, and "payback" is a noun and tends to imply revenge. No, I cannot justify this.

Bloomberg is reporting that federal workers tasked with approving medical devices for Medicare have reportedly received termination notices. As a wheelchair user who also uses some other assistive devices (canes, shower chairs, that sort of thing) I want to add some context to this.

Something that's been giving me a lot of comfort lately is the bioarchaeology of care. In Texas, Individual 758a lived 1300-4000, cared for by her community and brought healing plans. Human history isn't all cruelty. There has always been love and care.
