Lots of different types of blizzards here. Noreaster usually brings fluffy snow. Lake effect isn’t usually a blizzard. A western front brings real heavy snow, a southern front will bring the dreaded “wintery mix” of snow, sleet and/or ice. Northern front gets damn cold
