#academicBlueSky #speirgorm #spéirgorm what’s the academic equivalent to the “uncanny valley” concept where you’re reading assignments that have a bang of ai off them, but you know you’re not going to be able to prove it, it just gives you the ‘ick’

France passes law on the restitution of cultural artifacts looted during colonial rule
The law, which fulfills a promise Emmanuel Macron made to a crowd of young African people in 2017, allows the government to approve the restitution of looted artifacts by decree, rather than requiring a specific law for each case.

We are looking at a section of a medieval document with a grey creature with big ears and claw like hands that looks a lot like yoda. They are wearing a red brown cassock.

#archaeology bit of a puzzle this one. Anyone care to guess a use of the stone object embedded in a trackway across some agricultural land. It’s circular & shallow dish shape, approx 10 to 15cm in diameter. It looks like stone not pottery. The track has lots of rubble embedded in it -age unknown

#Census1926 hmm a key relative (with a very common name) not showing up. Anyone have any suggestions why this might be? I know his DoB so have done focussed searches using Irish and English versions of his surname +/- O’ / Mac, but no joy. Anyone any other suggestions?
