The show has nothing interesting to say about its characters or settings, half its humour consists of "haha isn't it funny how these hardened criminals say things in a foreign accent?" and its characters make unrealistically stupid decisions because it's the only way the show can progress its plot

I've never understood the praise for Barry; I'm caught up & trying really hard to enjoy it but all I can think is "when does this get good" and there are 2 episodes left. Very well-acted, great production value, but such mediocre uninteresting writing. It's the most aggressively mid show I've seen.
