Now as senior coach, his process is in turmoil because he needs results, all the work of youth teams he has in mind is wonderful but will not help him get the results in the senior side. Big difference between needing results NOW vs results in THREE years…

The point of youth national teams is to create a winning mentality, repeat playing patterns and materialize the idea that playing for the NT is the best there is. Rafa’s work is focused on those tenants, which beckons the question, should he have coached the U20s and U23s b4 taking the senior job?

It will be important for Mora to land in a European club and get minutes. Vargas not getting minutes in Atleti is already showing and doesn't help his development. Those are the troubles Rafa will need to deal with because there's numerous cases of players in Europe without constant playing time.

Lots of what we’re seeing right now is how much power Aguirre had on the national team and FMF. His presence brought order, now that he’s gone, and the FMF is falling apart with so many changes at the top, we notice Vasco’s skills of bringing everyone together. That’s why he coached in 3 World Cups.

It’s crazy the number of Mexican players that don’t have the confidence that Mora showcases every time he gets on the ball. Very worrying especially in cases like Giménez and Fidalgo, who will continue to lack minutes in Europe.
