Cross-partisan support in Washington on issues like pesticides and food additives pose a threat to the industry’s bottom line

- The Moravian’s concern for enslaved humans on St. Croix was a standout - Even after the technical end of slavery in the Danish islands, labor contracts kept the workers on a tight reign, if you wished to be employed at all - The Botanical Gardens on St. Croix includes ruins of their poor housing

Why? * Citizens that complain about that disgusting excuse for “news” will then have to figure out why half of voters that voted for corrupt politicians will (most of them anyway) vote for them again * Easier to blame outside influencers that to figure out why people vote against their own interests

- Japan refused diplomatic moves to disengage from China - Japan instead moved troops into French Indo-China, preparatory to seizing colonial resources British needed to continue their fight against Fascism - Japan still refused US offers to restore full trade; they had 2 years of OIL in reserve

Then why did Japan change its strategy to “Move South,” USSR blocked expansion at Galkin Gol in 1939? 1) Japan needed resources; British & Dutch colonies, attacked by Nazis had tin, rubber and..OIL 2) USA tried diplomacy after 1931 Japanese attack on Manchuria & 1937 brutal murders in China proper

- Not familiar with disability related to high-G maneuvers - At a NARF (overhaul facility) a few Israeli F-4s being worked on; most get scrapped, as the approx 10G loads pop the rivets - Israel frontline fighter pilots back then were all very young; soon after become instructors; no injuries??

- Steam catapults have a smoother stroke when launching aircraft than the older hydraulic type - The Intrepid (CV-11) was retrofitted with steam cats when it operated as an attack carrier during Vietnam. Often short of water, as the evaporators were not designed for the extra load

- Lots of hazards for jet pilots - The older Hydraulic catapults put great stress on airframes and presumably pilots & other crew; the strongest acceleration is at beginning of the hydraulic ram stroke; roughly 9 Gs, with sharp drop in force as the a/c accelerated

Historically, colonialism by the West seems transitory by comparison: 1) Egyptian and cultures of Fertile Crescent & Persia long dominated multiple subject cultures, with strong economic ties as well as political 2) After Rome, Byzantium was a force 3) China; India had largest GDP for 2,000 years
