Beat Earthbound Beginnings for the Wednesday Mother marathons I'm doing for our friends. I dunno, I think there's fun in playing it, but you really have to have the patience I have to get through it, and I consulted a guide more than I usually do Also we wanted to voice act, but there little story

Ninten standing in front of his mom and two sisters
"Son, your sisters and I are so happy to see you back in one piece. How unbelievable that you are not hungry."

Ana looking at a letter while thinking of Ninten smiling.
"A letter from Ninten, I miss him so much. I hope we can get together again soon."

So like obviously Earthbound and Mother 3 are going to be better than this game, but there's just so many things in this game that happen out of nowhere like this. Which would be funny/whimsical, but the baby just kinda something you find just to get an important skill

(the baby taught them his power of Teleportation)

I know people didn't like the Spocco people much in switch sports, but I will always prefer to be the funny creature. Like this jellyfish

I'm seeing people talk about the dumb HP trend going around, and I need you to know that the reason I had this spat was that it is in fact giving free advertising to people to go "oh I should watch that again". You really don't need to participate in every art trend you see for numbers, please.

Appropriate, I've been meaning to watch the movies again, I stopped watching them after GoF

Not to mention watching them cry over a british writer for 3 years straight. So yeah, in case it wasn't clear enough, I don't really have the trans community on the highest of graces right now, and if speaking out my mind gets me in trouble, then good.

Trying to figure out what sort of BG type I'd like to use for comics. I'll be using the same shading style (roughly) and line weight, so lemme know what works and what doesn't work.

slime frog in a forest
A - the bg is lineless with minimal shading

B - the bg is lineless with shading

C - the bg is thinly lined

9 Games that have irreparable changes to my brain chemistry as a young (inaudible noise) Names and explanations in alt text my9games.com

1. MMBN3 White - The first Mega Man game I owned and now I constantly crave grid based combat with deck building elements

2. Pokemon Pinball Ruby/Sapphire - The game that started my craving for virtual pinball with combat. (I miss you everyday World Flipper)

3. Dead Rising 2 - Game that made me love time management in video games, also that I fucking love tonal dissonance

4. Mother 3 - The very way I write is inspired by this game, and I think you shouldn't wait for an official localization. Be wary of things that aged well and things that didn't.

5. Mega Man ZX Advent - Made me fall in love with the "go around a map and unlock new ways to go through blocked off zones" genre. Also added too much echolalia to my brain due to its voice direction

6. Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga - I miss you advanced moves every day. Also Bowletta made me really confused as a kid but I think that was a good thing

7. Gregory Horror Show - Introduced me to Gregory Horror Show and the existential dread of life, but also Judgment Boy was there and he spins. Please watch Gregory Horror Show, it was very cool at the time.

8. Cave Story - This game is the game that will always pop up first when you say "indie game" to me, and the fact that (last I checked) we lost this creator due to him needing to do desk work for money AND Nicalis fucking up things sucks. Money didn't ruin Cave Story but it hurt it really bad I think.

9. Mega Man 3 - First game I ever played on a emulator at the ripe age of 4. It had a bloody hand on it and it gave me nightmares in kindergarten about blood, so I had a big aversion to red liquid for the longest time. I had to use blue paint when we did hand prints cause I was like "no i don't wanna be bloody". I'm better now, but I still don't want to be bloody.
