Robin photos taken this time of the year in 2012 and 2025 on the same camera. They always appear when you think you're not going to get a single photograph on a trip. The former taken in 2012 at Baggridge Country Park in South Staffs and I think the second […] [Original post on ecoevo.social]

The carrion crows are going ape shit outside which I think means they know I'm going to post a photo of a Jackdaw instead of one of them. #wildlife #photography
Jackdaw sitting on a fencepost with a Chilian Pine (monkey puzzle tree) behind.

A mini rainforest on a branch. If I knew my legs would feel so good on their first walk away from tarmac in weeks and thought I could risk my shoulder (which is spending more time in painful subluxation than fully socketed recently) I'd have taken my big […] [Original post on ecoevo.social]

I think this is the most Wolverhampton bit of graffiti ever. A Sikh man wearing a vintage Wolves away shirt with a local bus numbered 420 and Free the Weed in the window. I don't know who Pindi and Artvaadi are but respect, it only needs a pint of Bank's Mild […] [Original post on ecoevo.social]
A sticker of a bus with the slogans Pindi, Free the Herb, the number 420 going to Bushbury, with a picture of a Sikh man wearing a turban and a vintage, early 90s Wolves away shirt with the sponsor Good Year and the addition of the word Artvaadi (who may be the artist)

Self Portrait, of sorts, 7.5mm Astro-Hori F2 on Lumix G 7. #photography #selfPortrait #fisheye
Wide Angle shot of a footbridge over a river with no river in view. The angle is a wide fish eye shot with the bridge taking up most of the image, the shadow of the railings run directly, the shadow of the photographer is in view on the bottom left.

The image in question available from all good stock agencies (which doesn't include Adobe because they hate me, reject half my images, limit my uploads to about 5 at a time and, more importantly, don't take editorial images anyway but I needed to rant ;) )
Just a photograph of the Jaguar Land Rover Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre sign on the corner of the factory as seen as you pass it on the M54 motorway between Wolverhampton and Telford. It's all very grey with next to no artistic value.

One of Thursdays photographs. This example of brutalism is actually flood defences on the River Tame at Sandwell Valley. Growing up Gen X in the midlands you get love pigeons and concrete :) #photography #pigeon #brutalism #concrete #wildlife #uk
The background is a textured concrete wall and in the foreground is an odd triangle wedge shape of formed concrete with four wood pigeons at rest on it.

[image of fire damage, close up, a little sweary] Some very nice parts of the midlands look like this now after the fires of the last few weeks. This was in Sheepwash Nature Reserve but it could have been on almost any of my recent walks. WTF have to done to […] [Original post on ecoevo.social]
A single pale snail shell resting on fire damaged heathland. The shell shows some signs of scorching around the base showing the inhabitant died in the fire. Honestly it's a shitty image to write a caption for. I'm sure you feel that without me describing the cinders in detail :(

This was posted in a LinkedIn group I'm apparently a member of. Apparently you're not meant to think losing millionaires is a good thing? These people aren't leaving the country their accountant is moving them abroad for several months a year to avoid tax […] [Original post on ecoevo.social]
This is a shitty infographic and there is no way of actually presenting all the information on it in an alt tag, sorry, it contains tabular data. The gist of it, as far as my comment goes, is that 16500 millionaires apparently left the UK (more than twice the next country) and lots of millionaires go to counties is lax taxes on wealth (top is the UAE with 9800 entries). Rich people avoid tax is the takeaway but it's presented as some sort of brain drain.

One of the pair of mute swans that always pays me a visit whenever I pop over to Sneyd Reservoir taken a couple of weeks back. I think they will spent more time over in the sheltered portion of the lake they nest on over the next couple of months. The water […] [Original post on ecoevo.social]

One of the best things about having the flu is I'm finally catching up on pictures I should have sorted out weeks ago. Here is a solitary bee who has decided that the middle of the path is an ideal spot for his home. I wish them well :) #Bee #beesOfMastodon #solitaryBee #photography #urbanNature
A solitary bee digging a little home in a sandy bank that is actually the path between two common walkways on the edge of a country park.

One of the most under rated birds many of us see everyday. So many colours and textures in their feathers :) This guy posed in a couple of very photogenic spots this in March. #birds #birdsofmastodon #photography #wildlife #urbanWildlife

A few birds from Fridays walk in Willenhall. Struggling to get good bird shots when I'm out doing video stuff. It might be time to consider upgrading my SLR to one that does video so there is less inertia to mode switching. Now to win the lottery ;) […] [Original post on ecoevo.social]
