Took my dog out and passed a group of 16/17 year olds and one of them saw us and shouted "corgi!" They very politely asked to pet her and it was a very wholesome interaction.

I love editing with printed copies. Different from a computer so it's like it resets my brain, I can scribble notes as quickly as I think of them, crossing out whole chunks in red is so satisfying, and it gives my eyes a break from a screen #editing #WritingCommunity #amediting #amwriting

I am approaching this rewrite/heavy edit with a plan and I am so ready. Phase 1: adjust POV and get reacquainted with the story and characters. Then a break to start planning the sequel. Printing and substantial edit notes to put into draft 2. No time scale but already excited for people to read it.

We've had our 9 month rescue dog for almost 3 weeks. Despite spending most of her short life in kennels she is pretty much housetrained, walks well on a lead, and loves people. We are so impressed and proud of her, even when she does our head in. #dogsofbluesky #dog #puppy #dogmum

I think I'm about to DNF my first book of 2025, permanently or not I'm not sure. Just haven't connected with it so far and even there have been more proofreading errors than I've seen in any book for a long time and it just keeps annoying me.
