I swear to God. I was fucking raised a conservative, and even I saw through Trump from the start. And that was before he started unleashing violence on people. I really do not have sympathy for those who voted for him in 2024, as they had far more evidence against him than I had in 2016.

I really cannot be anything but bearish about the United States now. The Republicans are open fascists, but what really leaves me unable to have any optimism is that the Democrats are flirting with fascism. This is especially about their increasing willingness to abandon support for trans people.
