The Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) is an iconic tree native to the southeastern United States, known for its sprawling twisted branches. Fun Fact: Live Oaks can live for several centuries and often host Spanish moss, creating a beautifully eerie atmosphere. #NativePlants #Botany #Georgia

Blue Mistflower - Conoclinium coelestinum. One of my favorite native plants. It’s got wide heart-shaped leaves and gorgeous short stemmed flower clusters. Found this one on a job site in Atlanta. Drop the name of your favorite! #NativePlants #NativePlantSociety #FlowerReport #Botany #NorthGeorgia

Tick Trefoil - Desmodium canadense. Saw this one at a local park, with a bloom or two still hanging on in November! This plant is a wonderful food source for quail, a great nitrogen fixer and can be found in prairie remnants and along roadsides. #NativePlants #FlowerReport #Botany #NorthGeorgia
