Turns out you should read labels, otherwise you'll buy the waterproof eyeliner that lasts 28 hours. So I'm gonna have to figure out how I navigate this.

I just found out that putting butter on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is not only uncommon, but considered crazy??? This was SO normal where I'm from. Everyone did it. Is this just a SoCal thing or something?? This is the only PB&J that I know. My life has been a lie and I need to know why.

The Goonies always creeped me out as a kid; just the surrealism of it all. Now it's such a feel-good 80s comfort film.

I often forget that the banana splits and the beatles existed at the same time and it's hard for my head to wrap around.

I will always be in my psychedelic period. ✨ Granted, I might also be temporarily regressing into a buddy holly persona at the moment.

Sometimes I wonder if the internet has decreased our perception of time. because to me, 5 years in the 60s sounds like it went on forever, but 5 years today feels like it goes by so quickly!

When my first computer virus video took off 5 years ago, I was the same age as the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan show. Now I’m the same age as them when they released Abbey Road. THAT’s how fast it went!

There's also some really niche VHS about cats from like 1991 that also has the "your VCR will blow up" warning sticker on it. My purchase history is gonna be weird.

I intend to make a video about those weird VHS tapes from the 90s with stickers on them claiming that it had a virus on it that would make the VCR would blow up if you tried copying it. I found one on eBay. Am I really about to spend $30 on a VHS video about moose habitats?

I brought an old typewriter (mostly) back to working order and started using it to demonstrate for a video, and I've gotta say, they are SO satisfying to use. I've used one before, but it was a much newer one. This felt so elegant!

I am wondering if I should start putting "no AI was used" disclaimers at the beginning of some of my really long/more ambitious videos? I realized I've been experimenting with After Effects a ton right around the release of this Chat GPT 6 Astra update and I don't want people getting the wrong idea.

I love that in one of Buddy Holly's songs he made with the Crickets a literal cricket is heard in the background because it somehow got in the studio.

I've never exactly understand the whole "the world was way more colorful when we were kids" joke because I had the exact opposite experience. Most of my memories growing up (early 2000s), everything was super gray and dull. Not in a bad way. It just always looked like it was raining outside.
