So many things we consider normal lines of thinking are the result of decades of systemic lobbying and media brainwashing. There are probably a few examples in my own mindset that I'm not aware of.

In case #music lovers here on bluesky see this post. I'm Nathaniel Wyvern, I'm a composer / Singer-Songwriter. I make music about alternate dimensions and feeling sad n stuff. I've been fairly quiet lately due to work but I guarantee I'll release new music relatively soon! Been drafting lots up.

trying to get an EP finished for spring time and because I'm a contrarian it'll be dark and gritty.

Maybe someday I could score the soundtrack for a show like Doctor Who.

One good thing about having my official youtube artist channel unlocked now is people can actually comment on my song uploads there. Seriously, youtube preventing comments on indie artist releases / unclaimed channels is shitty.

I don't think I'll ever be able to write a conventional romantic love song. Increasingly aware that I just never feel that kind of thing about anyone, and while I can attempt to use characters as stand-ins, It's hard to be authentic/natural about it.

I released a new song today and as usual spotify release radar isn't delivering it to all my followers, oh joy of joys. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_HB... So here's the youtube link to it, it's a chill instrumental neoclassical piece.

might be done with Sony phones for a while, dropped my xperia 1 iii (while in a case) during a shopping trip today and the camera just died, no visible damage, but it's constantly clicking and convinced it's in use. Can't even take a damned selfie. Super upset tbh.

Does anyone else find themselves getting increasingly bothered by tech youtube's relationship with mass consumerist culture? I can think of only a handful of channels that don't seem fixated on buying new shit. And there seems to be a hoarder thing going on with many of them.

what I like most about this platform is it hasn't yet been ruined by influencers.

Completely random nerdy discussion. I think the Primeval writers dropped the ball by not having Helen Cutter around in Season 4/5 beyond mentions. I know, she died at the end of Season 3, but it's a time travel show? She could have shown up further back in her own timeline.

down to 85% capacity around 15 months into owning this laptop. I wonder when I'll have to look around for possible replacement batteries.

I don't know that many people on this platform. If I'm not following you yet, please share something you've made in the replies, I don't do follow for follow, but I'm interested in creative stuff and will follow for that <3

Cancelled my spotify premium and made it clear why, given the new stream payment threshold (per track annually 1k) I'm somewhat popular considering the type of music I make and most of my catalogue is excluded.... I'll listen to my friends elsewhere where I know they'll get paid a little.
