Patriots Trap run working as intended. DT had no idea what hit him.

Drake Maye's first TD throw to Romeo Doubs came on a classic screen-pump concept. Great job by Maye to progress to the backside here, ball is out right as Doubs is leaning into his break and before the pass rusher can get home.

thought this was great job by Drake Maye finding Doubs in the corner pocket against a *eyes roll into back of head* simulated pressure with a 2 Invert look behind it. converts on a 4th down on the Patriots opening drive of the game.

can just watch Johnny Hekker and know how this punt went. I know that lean from when I play golf.

The Jets offense has 7 delay of game penalties already this season, easily the most in the NFL. It's the most delay of game penalties by an NFL offense thru the first 4 weeks of the season since at least 2000 (per @trumedia.bsky.social).

Week 4 early down SUPLEX rates! SUPLEX is combined Successful play rate + Explosive play rate (my simple football version of OPS). 1st/2nd downs only, outside the final 2 minutes of each half, garbage time removed. Top-right = good O/good D 0-4 Texans?

Lamar with proper timing, ball placement, and anticipation as this bender works around the LB. Changing the arm slot is just that little bit of creativity he can sprinkle in, even when working from the pocket.

endzone angle showing Lamar moving Anthony Hill with eyes and a little pump.

Ravens trot out 13 personnel and in an under center heavy formation. Lamar into the gun and they motion Smythe out wide. This now puts Zay Flowers in the slot. And after Lamar moves the LB just slightly with his eyes, it creates a huge void and easy big gain.

simply love how the Jags set up stuff. last week vs. NE: I formation toss run with Strange in the backfield and Josh Cameron on a short motion to crack the edge. this week vs. CIN: I formation with Strange in the backfield, fake the toss to run a naked with Cameron popping open on the other side.

Amarius Mims with another game with zero pressures allowed vs. JAX. He's only allowed 5 pressures in one-on-one situations this entire season. His 3.4% one-on-one pressure allowed rate is the 2nd-lowest among all OTs in the NFL this year, per NGS.

could have hung clothes on that throw

Stroud has been firing the football again today. Hadoukens everywhere. \

I don't think any NFL player has had more of an adventurous day today than Marcus Jones

what were the Rams travel plans to Philadelphia? I just have to check.

Some real good stuff by Dak Prescott to sort this 3rd down out. Swapping the RB ends up confusing the Texans defenders (watch #50 and #35) who are trying to read the slide and who the RB takes. Guyton ends up botching but Dak still finds the correct answer.

0241

that was some real deal quarterback play from Dak Prescott on that last 3rd down

The Jaguars 100 penalty yards in the 1st half was the most by an NFL team in the 1st half since the Cowboys in week 13, 2023 (vs. SEA). (per @trumedia.bsky.social)

that Alex Freeman pass into space to Reyna was splendid

there was a checkdown early where the RB took one step and the LB immediately lost the angle

On the last pod, I talked about how the Cowboys defense has been better out of Base personnel this year. Which not only gets beef up front, but it puts Caleb Downs at safety. I even threw out a Porter Jr. trade as a way to improve their Nickel personnel. Which could keep Downs on the backend. Welp

Tonka Hemingway (#97) keeps flashing for the Raiders defense. Feisty player with active hands. Look at that hand-eye on the last clip!

watch how Patrick Mahomes gives a hard sell with his eyes to get the Dolphins defenders to fly back and calmly hits his checkdown for a 13 yard gain.
