Some days when I feel resentful about having spent years explaining that criminalization is the fuel of fascism which is why we have to reject criminalization, I remember that perhaps the time I say it might be the first time someone has considered the idea. Unfortunately, it still shows up frequently in renovations and demolitions of older buildings. People need to be aware of the danger so they aren't exposed to it without even knowing of the risk. Same with lead.
