As a qualified domestic gas engineer, my basic salary at most companies in London would now be around £42 - 45k per annum with my experience, with bonus for productivity and overtime on top of that, so 50 hrs per week would get me around £60k a year easily enough I reckon, Pay them £45k/£21.63ph.
