Spring is just around the corner! Come hang out in Oshawa for #OAME2025 Giving a keynote at OAME is a bucket list item for me. So privileged to contribute to a community that has given me so much! #iteachmath

These make me smirk every time. (Side quest: if someone answers “48,” what led them to that conviction?)

No time this year (teaching topic this week), but this book offers an interesting introduction to scale factor. Gotta get a lesson built someday.

Five prototypes later, we have a functioning product. Snug to the stick and weighs next to nothing. Going to let The Boy handle a few pucks before replacing the knobs on his game sticks. I forgot how obsessive the design and testing process was.

Spent the bulk of the weekend tinkering with a 3D printer. An interesting learning environment. Sometimes feeling the need to be told things and other times troubleshooting with my past experience as guide. Ended up with my first 2-colour print before bedtime.

Math Ed Twitter OGs will remember these. I think John Scammell introduced me to these as one of the first 3 Acts tasks I ever saw. I could have put one in my carry on, but didn’t want to lug around the extra 5 lbs.
