Absolute highlight for me at #AWF was attending Kirsty Gunn’s Masterclass (thanks to a generous friend 💕). Pro-tips from the master include: start the week with poetry; strive for a “living book” (as Mansfield said); pay attention first to instinct/imagination and then language 🫶✨✨✍️

Three weeks ago: Finished the fourth draft of my novel; hastily entered it in a competition (long shot, but hey); got a couple of cute copies printed book-sized for friends to read... This morning: Attempting to start a new novel... BUT, how does that work again?! What is a story?? Who am I??
