Pub day 👑 Queen Mother: Black Nationalism, Reparations, and the Untold Story of Audley Moore is officially here! @pantheonbooks.bsky.social A decade-long labor of love, of unearthing an archive said to be lost, building relationships with her family, interviewing those who knew her, and
Dr. Ashley D. Farmer is in a black dress, smiling, holding an open copy of her new biography Queen Mother. On the left we see a pile with three binders that say “Audley Moore” and different decades: 1930–1950, 1950–1979x 1970–1997. Behind Dr. Farmer there is a yellow wall with different illustrations hung.

Malcolm X would’ve been 100 today. To mark the occasion, BBC History Magazine asked me to write about the women who shaped his life and his fight for Black liberation.

Hi Everyone! My latest novel is _Village Weavers_ @tinhouse.bsky.social - tracing the lives of two Haitian women from 1940s Port-au-Prince and across decades and continents to the early 2000s in the US - I had an incredible time touring the book last year with a few more dates coming up in 2025!
