i don't think you could call it a private school, since you don't pay a single penny to study there. our lyceum even has a dormitory for students who live far away from the city, and that’s free too. btw school education in Belarus is free, and private schools were banned a couple of years ago

cool!! tbh i really enjoy learning new languages, but i’ve never felt drawn to Asian languages like Chinese, Japanese and Korean😔 at least partly because their structure seems incredibly difficult and confusing to me. i can't even imagine the amount of effort it takes to learn languages like that!

i just realized that there are no litseyums in America, so i guess you didn't understood what i was talking about. in Belarus, a litseyum is an educational institution specifically for 10-11 grades. unlike regular schools, you don't just choose to attend, admission is based on an entrance exam

oh wait also, before moving to the lyceum for the upper grades, i studied French with a tutor:DD but sadly that one wasn't a part of the school curriculum but a separate learning, and that lasted just for a few months, so my progress stalled at the most basic words☹️

recently i realized that i studied four languages during my school years. from the first grade i studied Russian and Belarusian (official languages of my country) and English starting in the 4th grade. later, in lyceum, ive got German as well!! so i was learning 4 languages at the same time lol
