Our schedule for the week! Join us for game night, a new adventure inside a whale, and @thepipiper.bsky.social 's crazy Tier List of all 413 Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Villagers!
The Narwhal Pod was founded in 2018 by a group of Twitch streamers who strived for an all-inclusive place to play games and hang out. We quickly recognized the need for a community dedicated to helping protect the oceans. Since then, we have built tutorial videos for streamers, provided resource guides, honorarily adopted multiple sea creatures, and hosted our own charity event.

The weekly schedules highlight the main channel for the group, and the streams from our three Pod Leaders, Weptlong, OnixpectedOtter, and ThePiPiper.

This week we will be hosting our monthly Game Night in Discord playing some Meccha Chameleon on Wednesday.

On Thursday, we will playing "A Completely Ficitonal Story About a City Inside a Whale" at 7PM CET/1PM EST.

On Sunday, ThePiPiper will be upholding their donation incentive to rank ALL 413 Animal Crossing New Horizons' Villagers! So buckle in for a crazy stream as you watch them lose their mind over 8-12 hours.

Male lumpsuckers build nests to show off their great parenting skills! Once a female selects his nest, she will lay up to 350,000 eggs and leave. Afterwards, the male fertilizes them and stands guard, protecting and oxygenating the clutch for 4 to 8 weeks until they hatch.

Cardinalfish dads carry fertilized eggs in their mouths to protect them. They don’t eat while brooding, only releasing the eggs briefly to clean and oxygenate them. Some even shelter the babies after hatching until they outgrow dad’s mouth.

Orcas live in tight family pods led by moms, and sons stay for life. Males don’t raise their own calves, but they help teach and care for siblings, nieces, and nephews. In a way, every male orca becomes an important figure to the pod’s young.

Seahorses and pipefish are perhaps the most famous dads of the sea. Mom does all the work producing healthy, fertile eggs, but when it comes to protecting and incubating the eggs, that's dad's job.

Ocean tides are primarily caused by the gravitational pull of the Moon and Sun on Earth's oceans, combined with Earth's rotation, creating bulges of water (high tides) on opposite sides of the planet, while the areas in between experience low tides.

Some screenshots from today's session in the @jinglejam.co.uk Minecraft Collaboration Server... can you tell which Charity we are supporting?
Jingle Jam is an annual fundraiser started by The Yogscast in 2011, Jingle Jam unites the world’s best games, creators and their communities to make the world better for children and young people. They raise funds through the annual Jingle Jam event, and distribute these funds to selected charities who are making a real difference. Find out more at: https://www.jinglejam.co.uk/ First Class Friends (FCF) big build started last year, 2024 and was hosted on the fcf modded Minecraft survival server, each charity had the goal of building something to represent their charities. WarChild built a park, Trevor Project built a HUGE building the shape of the Logo and of course Grand appeal built the Jingle Jam Building.

This year we have tried our best to go above and beyond that amazing work, and trust me… Its big.
The theme of this year is BIG house build, each charity have requested a specific room and it is all of our jobs to come together and decorate.

Here are the rooms:

BECOME: Master Bedroom
CALM: Living room
The Grand Appeal: Kitchen
Make-A-Wish: Attic
THE TREVOR PROJECT: Garden (Don’t worry! Not the whole huge thing!)
WAR child: Basement
WWF: Bathrooms (Both)These screenshots depict the additions that The Narwhal Pod community came together and built during today's Jingle Jam stream!

a drawing of a hagfish!

A hagfish is not a true fish or an eel; it is its own type of marine life.

Hagfish have existed for over 300 million years, predating dinosaurs. They're considered “living fossils,” giving us a glimpse into early vertebrate evolution.
